Ive been focusing recently on my fitness and thankfully my gambling recovery is going very well..... In other areas of life im excelling...... works going great.....My family are healthy...... Mum and sister are doing well very well considering what they been thru and are going thru..... My finances are in great shape.... Ive been spoiling myself and friends and family with games and food..... Ive spent a lot on food in june as a result of feeling down about my family health...... So ive once again tightened my belt.....Ive spashed out on a new console and my family love playing it......Ive been using my other consoles too....

I  feel very privaliged..

Im on my holiday week this week but its not time to rest as im working on my health so im keeeping up the steps and looking to post another 100k step week ...... Who knows what the next chapter of life will bring.....

Lets hope its good.....

3000 posts lated i can say with certainty lifes not boring..... it can be super tough.... but its rewarding....

Well here i am a month later...... My wieght came back on back up to 88kg all thru a slight dip in diet.....so ive thought why not indulge as i usually stay aroung the 88kg anyway so if i not able to lose anything just indulge anyway and enjoy myself a bit more.....

my spurs shirt came from china today..... it looks cracking really pleased with it....

Steps wise ive done over 100,000 each week for 7 weeks now...... so far for the first three days of this week ive been a bit slack but done 36600 so o nly slightly behind target..... and i only did 5k on sunday....Last week it took a strong end to the week to complete it...... so ill try and have a good next two days tomake it easier at the end of the week.

Just taking a moment to reach out Adam and to say well done. What your achieving is an amazing accomplishment, it's good to see your treating yourself with the spurs shirt etc and I'm glad life is doing you good. Keep up the great work and keep that focus always 👏 👏 👏 I'm away on holiday now but when I have more time I intend to deep dive into your diary from day 1, I'm sure it will help in my own journey too.

Dazza your words of encouragement mean more than u could ever know...... Just the thought that someone would read my whole diary and find strength from it and that it would help you in some way is great to hear...... Really really chuffed with that post....... I often think that my posts are boring and i think too much about money and boring stuff..... but where u say to allways keep that focus fills me with strength to continue on the same path and not change my approach.

Many many thanks dazza....

This weekend soo far has been incredible i found the post from dazza on friday and screenshotted it and sent to a couple of friends as i was soo chuffed with it....... Then friday night i cooked a steak, watched the premier league start.....

Saturday woke up for midday just and watched and listened to the football all day...... my fant team had a great day and im currently sat at 3317th in the world 9800000 players.....wow.....

Ive taken out some sausages out the freezer for tomo and am going to have a full english for my main meal whilst watching sundays games..... really hoping that palmer and saka and fernandes have off days to keep my position high in the overall world league but we wil see.

Ive done 209000 steps for the first half of this month.... no small FEET (dont mind the pun lol)

Ive had a great time at work lately...... I went to the staff forum on weds and although there was 40 people there and i get really anxious with public meetings and speaking i was actually putting forward a lot of good ideas in the meting and talked a lot throughout it...... my comments and thoughts went down very well..... this put me in a great mood so i went for a celebratory coffee after work.

Ive indulged in tnt sports for a month to watch the start of the season...... i watched the super cup weds night with a friend and although we lost on penalties we performed really well and very almost won the trophy....

I managed to get a discount for tnt saving a fiver each month on it.

Im trying to come in on 1200 pounds for food for a year...... this realy isnt achievable but im trying!!!!! at mo its looking like itll be 1500 (which is same as year before).....In order to achieve less spend ill look to spend less in canteen at work and look to use my freezer food this month...... Ive got 90 pounds on my sains card at mo and ill try to make that last well into sept hopefully.

Since ive got my two savings accounts in april ive saved 1930..... along with paying for all outgoings this month leaving me with extra 500 end of this motnh.  so 500 a month cracking....

Ive joined up to many fpl leagues and am very interested in it and will look to have my best season.  The main way im looking to do better is thru the correct use of transfers (spending no points on them) and correct use of specials..... although i only gained a few points from my bench boost this week it could have gone even better..... but i think it was a wise choice to do it first week to get ahead in my leagues.

Gym wise ive been nearly everyday for a couple of months now.

Im not playingmy computer games a smuch as usual but as ive got the subscriptions for them ill try to continue to not spend anything on them too....

i applied for a second job which paid 3k a year...but didnt get an interview...prob for the best.

All the best

Congratulations on your continuing progress, Adam.

You should be extremely proud for how far you’ve come in the last 10 years.

I, too, am an FPL player and love playing this as well as a couple of other fantasy sports. The less said about my opening start, the better.

Keep up the great work mate.

Just caught up on a few diaries and a few fellow gamcare users and friends from chat room who started to not use the chat room for a while have relapsed.....are back in the saddle now but it goes to show that sticking with the chat room does keep it fresh and allow for us to know its the correct decision for us not to gamble at all.

I hope they come back to the chat room and keep on the straight and narrow.

Ive been struggling with my mental health the last couple of weeks...... voices have increased and ive needed to self medicate and i struggled a couple of days at work this week.......

Ive taken a step back from my fitness regime...... in recent weeks instead of 100k steps ive done 86k, 77k and 67k quite a difference but i was doing too many....... and im happy with 10k a day average.

Im 700k out of 11,000,000 in fantasy footy so thats good.

The fixtures of europe came out today....... so ive booked my holidays days for the rest of the year.  Ive booked the days of after each champions leage match.

Plus a week off at christmas and new year.

I was down on weds with mental health and cancelled my sky sports and tnt sports subscriptions...... when i realised i wanted to keep them the next day it cost me an exta 17 pounds to resign up and the friend i shared with had signed up to his own membership meaning ive just doubled my bills for it for the year.....really annoyed with my rash decision..... but cant change it now.

Spent 60 pounds on groceries on weds ( topped up on lunches), then bought a snack and coffee for 9 pounds , and bought 24 ice creams (for when family over for 18 pounds (half price deal), so spent 180 pounds on all food and drinks for the month...... more than i was expecting but not too bad.

I owe 64k to my folks  but dont owe anything on my flat...... but would like to pay it back as soon as possible...... ive worked out i can pay back between 6k - 9k a year if i save hard and just spend 100 pounds after bills a month...... the last 6 months ive saved 3400 to start towards this (to be clear i earnt 7200 in that time).... and i also bought a new console (switch 2).....So really happy with progress...

Lots to be thankful for...... mum and sister healthy...... work going well...... im healthy..... i live in a lovley flat in a lovely country...... and im thankful for a roof and food each day.....

Well i come here exactly a week later.....  Had a very poorly week..... had a nasty cough and cold...... literally laid in bed for five days doing roughly 100 steps instead of my usual 10k+ ...... Went back to work friday......got thru the day....then came home and in the evening i wrote a quiz for staff at work which ill hopefully send out to all next week.

Saturday was feeling rough still so took my folks for table tennis then laid on sofa and slept rest of the day and didnt eat much.....

Then sunday i got 15 hours sleep saturday night and woke up 2 pm on sunday.....well needed.... so wnet to sainsburys and waitrose...... got some half pric croisants for lunch and a half price steak for dinner.....much needed protein....

Then came on chat hopefully helped a few people then just about to go to bed again.

All in all happy to be feeling normal again.....not 100 percent yet but getting there..   on to a new week.

I have just been reading through your diary Adam and it’s very inspirational to see how far you’ve come. I am in a very similar position to you at the very start of your journey, I’m soon to be 34 years old and today is my day 1 of my gamble free journey, I hope in ten years time I can be in a similar position to you.
