DAY 284

Thought I would check in.

Everything still all good this end, was lucky enough to see Oasis on Wednesday which was a once in a lifetime experience and one that was great to be a part of.

That was the last thing I had booked to do this year, so need something new to look forward to, hopefully another holiday, which if I hadn't given up the slots I wouldn't be able to afford.

Good luck everybody and the fight goes on 🙂

Day 62

Now if you are reading this thread you may be wondering how I managed to go back in time 222 days, well on the 20th August I decided I could gamble again, it was probably one of the worst decisions of my life.

What followed was 2 months of on/off gambling one week id stop then the next I would be back to it.

I felt so embarrassed and today is finally the first time I have managed to pluck up the strength to come back here.

On a positive note, since the 21st November I have not gambled, now over 2 months ago and hopefully I can go even longer and beyond then my 300 odd days I did last time.

Life is pretty good at the moment around the time I stopped gambling, I also met my now new partner, which I guess is a little coincidental.

I do not think about gambling really at all in the last month or two, and I think it was the strength built from my last attempt.

On a negative side of things If I had stuck to my plan and not gambled I would most likely be debt free now or at least about to be in the next couple of months, I am not back to 8,500.

On a current timetable with also trying to save up enough money for a deposit for a lower priced flat, I am looking to be paid off debt Oct 2027, and enough saved for a deposit about Jan 2028. These are my goals which will take alot of sacrifices.

Will try check in weekly or biweekly as I did find this forum a help first time round.

@hit0f4l2rn Hi Eden

Lovely to hear from you. I too, after going over 470 odd days g.f, had two lapses - one end of July 25 and the other in September 25 🙈.

The important thing is that we have both got back on the g.f train and cracked on resuming a “normal” life once more. I think we both know which is the safer and more stable option!

Hope you have a good week ahead.

Take care.
