8 days done. I’m doing ok. Throwing myself into other activities and I’m changing old habits. I had very specific times when I used to gamble so I’m changing those things first.

Well done! I'm doing exactly the same. The weekend just gone I've been off work, at night I would be gambling alot into the early hours of the morning. Feeling relieved that I've made it through and now back to work to keep myself busy. Keep going, you got this ?

Thanks so much. My main joy has been from checking my bank account without fear!! It’s payday tomorrow and I actually am still in the black. This is unheard of for me

11 days completed gamble free. I dreamt last night that I had gambled. I was gambling in my dream and it was strange as I wasn’t enjoying the experience. In the dream I was bored and wanted to stop. When I woke for a few seconds I was so disappointed in myself as I thought it was real. The relief that it was just a dream!! Keep strong everyone

Hi debsy, don't worry about the dream I had dreams when I first stopped. I strongly believe it's the addiction knocking at the door " hello I'm still here " !! Whilst it will always be there stay strong keep your blocks strong and it will fade into the background. I don't dream about it anymore thankfully. Your doing good keep it going. Best wishes

Yknow, that's a good way of looking at it Debsy.  This addiction is sneaky indeed - it can even intrude into our dreams.  But even in your dreams you realised the folly, hurt and pain of gambling.  So you are facing down this enemy, even in your dreams.  That's got to be a good thing.
