Spent my day off today in a wise and efficient manner. Made breakfast for both of us in the morning followed by chores in the house. Went to the gym and booked a course assessment in december after I came home. Took a dog out for a walk and then sat down to study whilst the missus cooked delicious falafel for dinner. Got an early start tomorrow so it's an early night for me. It's been a solid busy day and kind of perfect day for a recovering compulsive gambler like me. I did not gamble today. Taking one day at time. 282 days GF.

Gosh I was so tired yesterday didn't even get a chance to update my diary. 3 hours sleep followed by a 12 hour shift was knackering. Couple of hours more left at work and it's the weekend for me. Missus' parents are coming over for the weekend so picking them up from the airport nice and early tomorrow. Looking forward to some quality time this weekend. 284 days GF.

Yesterday we went to a country park with our dogs. It was a lovely day to start with until the heaven opened its door and the inevitable happened. Joking aside it was lovely walking around the lake admiring the beauty of the nature. So refreshing. The missus' parents enjoyed it as much as we did. Today was slightly different though. I woke with a terrible pain in my neck. Probably a nerve got trapped while I was sleeping last night. So, I stayed home and rested with an ice pack whilst the missus went to the town with her dad to get some parts for DIY. I'm feeling a lot better than right now than how I was in the morning. Hoping to wake up with no pain tomorrow. Taking one day at a time. 287 days GF.

Got my car serviced today. Not a lot of major issues to worry about so that's good. Spent the day at home doing chores and course study. Missus trusted me with my bank card just in case I needed for car. I didn't even think about gambling for once even though I had the card with me all day. It just shows that I've come a long way and now I know where my priorities are. Went to sainsbury's for food shopping after I picked up the car from garage. Handed over the card to the missus with the shopping receipt as soon as I got home. It's been a positive day and I did not gamble today. 289 days GF.

I'm glad to have racked up 290 GF days under my belt. All guards in place and not getting ahead of myself just taking one day at a time.

Good to read your diary today Pras. Really needed a lift and inspiration from the rewards gained from your humble and simple living. I'm so glad you've found a way of being that is working for you. I had a bit of stinker yesterday so morale low but good to read your posts and get a boost. Keep it up mate.

Well done. I think I should follow one day at a time. I have registered for GAMSTOP, 3 weeks back. But it was only started working from last week. During that period I bet around 200GBP. also around 50GBPon shops.

But still I feel better, because earlier I used to gamble 2500 - 3000 GBP per month. I bet only on sports bet (Tennis points, accumulator on cricket, tennis and football)

A good thing is I can not bet on online now.

I need to stop my betting on shops. Please can anyone suggest how I can do that,

Got stuck in traffic en route home for an hour due to a car fire. It's frustrating and annoying after a 12 hour shift to say the least but I sincerely hope the people involved are safe and sound. Work was ok just a normal day. 291 days GF.

Thanks so much for posting on my diary Pras. Left you a reply on there. Thanks a bunch for the show of support, means so much.

I know what you mean about car accidents and the consequences. After what we have done and the fallout we know pain, and tragedies like the one that you came across spur compassion and worry about the welfare of others in us as we understand the greater good now rather than being stuck in our own little world. This is truly a sign of recovery... Keep it up Pras. Stay on the path for a bright and inspiring future.

It's been a solid weekend in terms of planning and execution. Very happy with overall progress. Quarterly performance review at work went pretty well too on friday. Let's have a great week ahead. Onwards and upwards. 294 days GF.

You are indeed a gamcare warrior. A man of integrity who has stood up to the addiction and told it to get out of your life.

I personally am on a mission to be gamble free and really going for it. The courage and resilience of friends like yourself will stick in my mind should my resolve start to weaken.

Take care Pras and keep blazing that trail ...stephen
