Another stumble in the road

Are you happy to say how you got around any blocks and accountability you have in place as in your safety net ? Do you know what triggered it ?

Stuart I had had a few beers which is not unusual for me, and I borrowed a few hundred pounds from a friend. It was a late request (late at night) and this morning I came clean to them, which I feel really positive for doing. My iPad let me slip up, I was feeling that oh so dangerous feeling, what’s the harm. Well now I’m owning up, I have to keep calm and carry on. iPad is reset and listed on eBay (it’s only an old one and not really worth anything), but I don’t really need one do I. Gamban is working great on my phone so thank you so much for replying I’ll try and get on the chat later. Take care.

It is so good that you opened up to your friend and told them the truth.  It's not a easy thing to do, but it does make you feel good afterwards, I agree.

Are you able to get any accountability on your bank account as in someone regularly looks at your app to see transactions ? Also have you blocked gambling transactions on your bank card ?

I’ve blocked the debit card, but can still deposit via open banking which lots of the online sites offer now, the bank has said they can’t block that as it is classed as a bank transfer rather than a card payment. As of this month’s payday (for me this coming Wednesday) I’ll be putting all my money into an account with no online banking which is yet another layer I hope will help!
