So if I'm honest I use online casinos not all the time but as a way to manage my mood. They block out all the s**t going on in my head. I've got a good job but at home my head can sometimes be somewhere I don't want to be.

I hadn't lost any money for a while but last night I went and joined a site again and lost a few quid.  I've spent all day disappointed with myself and disgusted cause I Know it's wrong and makes me miserable.

So I've joined on here today - I've been on here before and read other people's stories and thought this might help. If I feel like I did last night again I'm going to try and come on here instead.

Here's to big changes one step at a time!

Welcome to the diaries May1019. The only way us up now! ?

Many compulsive gamblers start a diary and succeed in stopping gambling which makes their lives more pleasant and a great deal more enjoyable.

There is an abundance of information to be found in the Forum and Admin are always on hand to give friendly advice.

Gambling blocks are generally considered to be a good idea. Being registered with gamstop and having a gambling freeze on my bank account has made me feel safe from temptations which can arise.

The chatrooms are popular where people gather for a bit of a natter.

Wishing you every success in stopping gambling and rediscovering your life.

May it was nice to see you in chart you have made a big step in getting help and you have come to the right place it will be a struggle to start but in a few days time you will be in a better place you will have highs and lows we all have them but lows will become less but if you are like me and determined to change you will do it but put all blocks in place because you will feel you need to gamble when it gets tough but if you can’t it will make you feel a lot better and if you struggle please ring the help line they will help and listen to you and like all of us in the chat will no judge I was made to feel I was not alone in all the stuff I am going through. And do read as many of the diaries you can they will inspire you
take care

Hi May

Aell done on getting to day 45 - that’s a great achievement. You should be really pleased with yourself. As each day passes the horrible memories start to fade and we can return to a normal way of life Just remember not to get complacent as when those memories have faded, we can forget the pain, misery and upset to ourselves and everyone around us. Life really is so much better without gambling in it. Keep updating and sharing your milestones with us. ?

Great job getting to day 45.  A glance at the bank statement now may not look too much better, but as each day passes all the savings will add up.  Savings in not just money, but also time and the healthier activities that can take the place that gambling once took.  Keep it up!
