Today was a struggle had very strong urge to gamble . I feel horrible that I even considered gamblinh after the he’ll I’ve gone through in last 19 years .
I donh want to go back to that hell and the withdrawal the crying fits after gambling , being broke , not being able to sleep , I have to remember those things when the urges hit me .

Well done on your 20 days of not gambling. It's not going to be easy after 19 years of systematic compliance with the demands of gambling addiction, is it? But, you're doing your best. Urges are part of the recovery and recovery is not straightforward. Don't be too hard on yourself now.
It maybe a good idea to use self-exclusion scheme called 'The Sense' for the land based casinos to take the temptation away for when you get paid next, if you haven't done it yet. Only a gentle reminder my friend. I have been using 'The Moses' for betting shops. It's not perfect but they have a legal obligation to tell you to leave, once they recognise your face. Happened to me a few times. It's not a nice feeling at the time, but you actually feel relieved once outside, knowing you haven't lost your money.
