I did tell both my parent and partner at the start of the year when I took out my first loan, but unfortunately - I felt like that didn’t really help me, because neither of them never really understood it or saw it as an addiction. Which I think is why I’m finding it refreshing coming on here and speaking to you guys who know and understand gambling for what it is.
@lp5vut869c That’s the one I was told about Betblocker - I will get this sorted as soon as I get five minutes (I will report in my diary about this eventually).
I think the problem is after the first loan, they told me they would leave if the gambling continued….and it has.
Day 4 - Wednesday 8th July
I struggled a little last night. Finished work at 5pm and felt the itch - tried to keep myself busy to avoid it.
Went to put some fuel in the car, nipped to the shops and had a bath. It was after the bath (which was probably around 2 hours of getting that initial ‘itch’), the feeling passed. Managed to sit myself down and watch Poseidon - who doesn’t love a good action/thriller to keep them engaged and help them switch off!
Today will probably be another repeat of that - but with the hot weather here, I’ll probably find myself in the garden in my pool at some point. That in itself, should keep me distracted.
