My gambling addiction started when I was just around 13/14 I started with £1 bets on at the weekends but this was the start of a major downfall. As I gradually got older I got more money which resulted in bigger stakes I would always have my mind on turning money into more money which is the wrong out look on life. Money well spent is money well earned. This continued and then I eventually got my first bank card and I opened up my first online gambling account. Just age 16. I I again started with low stakes and then I got a big win around £800.00. The taste of victory is the start of the taste of defeat once you have that winning taste you want more and more and the more you want the more you lose. You can never win. Then when I got my first job it got me in the dark hole I am today... I got over 1k on my first wage and gambled around about £700 online. I didn't know what to do I felt lost... I promised myself I wouldn't do this the following month. Then the next month came seen my bank balance and it was nice and full again then I was tempted into started my gambling again and once I started there was no going back all my months work gone in one day of gambling. This was the worst feeling in my life I didn't know who to turn to or who to ask for advise. I have now became 1 weeks free of gambling and I have joined Gamcare for the 1st time today and joined the chat at 8pm it really has inspired me to fulfill my journey and get gamble free for life and I know with the help of these guys I can do it.
