Hi,

Sorry to hear about your blip but just think what you could have done with the £35.

Although we may all say that it was a minor one as we have all lost far, far more in the past, we must all think about the value of £35.

Oh how I'd love to have a bonus £35 sitting in my wallet today! I now have a huge respect for money which is a very good thing and it will put me in very good stead in the coming years.

Hope this finds you well and not worrying too much about your blip. You said that you enjoyed yourself but did you enjoy losing £35?

Stay very strong and very positive.

Have a great gamble-free weekend.

Getting There

Hey my girl.

Just thinking of you.

Keep at it and look at what made you go and have that gamble.

Once identified, do it different next time you have the same feelings, if you can.

We all learn from our mistakes and nobody is perfect. This is not a race, this is a life time quest to change one self and to be a better person.

Love and hugs

God Bless

Sabine x

Thanks for your post, it's always good to know you are there keeping an eye out!

Good for you on immediately picking yourself up from the slight blip, you are back on track for sure.

Hope that you are OK and had another gambling free day. One day at a time we will do this.

Hi Freda and thanks for your support. You kind of sum up perfectly how I feel about having to go to the social "cap in hand".. am dreading this interview this morning but I know its something that i have to do. Yet again in my life i am feeling the consequnces of my gambling.

Sounds like your back on track... well done. Am back to counting days as well.. it is helping at the moment and then at some point I will stop counting and just live each day as it comes gambling free. have a good day.. S.A 🙂

Freda (K)

Hope all is well with you. Just know that a blip makes you feel bad as I've had many myself.

But setbacks are made for comebacks and that is what you will do!

Hope you had a good gamble free day.

Day 11 - I have not gambled today. In fact I have not been outside today! Was feeling really poorly and didn't sleep so took the day off sick. I am really happy to see myself taking proper care these days, and resting when its needed. Sometimes I try too hard to be perfect. Ive never made it so I should chuck in the towel and just be human like everyone else.

Ive only one day back tomorrow, then off next week. I made the right decision phoning in sick. It was my first time off sick in this job, and I felt like a naughty child! no-one else made me feel that way, just me.

We will be moving in a few weeks, so Im especially careful to look after myself. I only got ill with anxiety and depression because I did not take proper care of myself, and instead prioritised pleasing others. This was the only way I thought I could be accepted and loved, by overcompensating.

Silly mare!

Hi f.. I just wanted to thank you for your support. You make so much sense in your thoughts to me and your thoughts to your self. Got to look after self isnt it... and your doing just that.

I was sitting here at 5.10 a.m. I'd checked my emails and one was about a job as a support worker in a rehab.. shift work and sleepins and responsibility and pressure. I started filling out the application and then i thought.. what am i doing??? I went all the way through my 20's doing exactly that sort of job and what did i get from it.. an addiction to slot machines! .. an addiction to gambling.

Anyway hope you feel better and all the best with the move. O and well done on the gambling free time.. S.A

Hope you are feeling brighter and looking forward to the weekend.

Keep strong, those days are mounting up.

Thanks guys,

Im pretty happy David, I was just having a nostalgic look at how I used to deal with things (not very well) and noticing how totally awesome it is that I actually take care of myself now 🙂

Its often when the busy/stressy/uncertain times come around, that we notice our growth and how much better we are dealing with things. Its nice to notice progress.

Do you know, Im daft as a brush, Im so keyed up and buzzing off moving house. Its good, its exciting, but Im so excited that Im giving myself headaches! heh heh.

Anyway, day 15 and I wont gamble today. Nope, you cant make me - I won't do it!

Nice one Freda,

Thanks for your post on my diary Freda, as always it's appreciated.

Good that you are very chirpy today and fired up about the house move!

Much better to be focusing on things that are important for our futures as opposed to things that can destroy our futures.

You are back on track nicely, let's stick with it one day at a time.
