Hi Freda... great to hear that you are looking after yourself and enjoying the house move. It must be very exciting am sure. Am happy for you.
As you know things "feel" tough for me at the moment... though in the great scheme of things they are not that bad. But I really have to work hard at this not gambling lark at the moment and work hard i will.
As always thanks for your support.. S.A 🙂
Hey my "crazy, stressy, house moving" friend.
How's my girl?
Moving house is apparently one of the most stressful things one could do.... I dunno... I moved 3 times, the big one was from Germany to the UK and I thought it went ok...but then...what did I know way way back then...
The last move was a doddle... I got people in to move us. We were out of the flat by 8.45am and moved into the house by 11am. The boxes were labelled so I just directed people to the right rooms..." this box in the kitchen , that one in bedroom one etc." You get the picture...
I even took my son from Southampton to Stanstead the day we moved(21st Dec) so he could spend Xmas with my family... Looking back I think I must have been crazy already then, lol ... You know, I had the house up and running and tidy the following night( I used son's bedroom as storage room for boxes as he was away for 2 weeks). The last thing I did on the second night, was to try the Christmas lights out on the tree...
Just though I share that with you and give you a giggle, imagining me running around like a headless chicken trying to get the house livable and Christmassy in 2 days.
Life is only ever as bad as we make it in our heads...
Love and Hugs
God Bless
Sabine xx
Hi Freda
Hope you have had another good gamble free day.
Great comment there on your diary from Sabine... Life is only as bad as we make it in our heads... How very true that is.
Keep up the good work.

Hi Freda,
Thanks for your support as always 🙂
I totally relate to your thoughts about personal growth in times of stress. Ive managed to get through the whole leaving my job that I was no longer happy in and negotiating the benefit system and without falling to pieces. I coped even if i was mega stressed and emotional at times.
Sounds like your really enjoying moving into your new home.. enjoy! .. S.A 🙂
Hi gorgeous recovery friends,
Im well and happy thanks. Its been about 4 weeks bet-free now, and Ive only bet on one occasion in the last 6 months or so.
I love our new flat! We are not totally moved in yet, as it needs carpet cleaning etc. and we have 3 weeks left on our rental lease. I quite like this moving in gradually. Its like dating!!! getting to know each other a bit first, before we live together, lol.
Its nice going up the road and tinkering about doing jobs. It hasn't been as stressful as I expected so far. Most people don't have the time we have had to sort things out, bit by bit though.
Its nice not to have that anxious waiting anymore. Its definitely ours!
Anyways, hope to post more this week but computer been a bit funny so will have to see!
Hi f... can't think of nothing to say.. but wanted to say something.. so this is it.. you know yourself that life and home is good.. keep on enjoying.. S.A 🙂
Thanks SA
have had a bit of a rotten day, as discovered computer problems that could be expensive. Rather bad timing!
However, gambling wouldn't solve anything, so I haven't!
Hi there my friend. What are the problems with said puter?
Hi Freda
Hope you are now fully installed in the new penthouse and keeping strong!
Can't have you on page 3!!! so a post from me to say hope all is going well and that you are keeping strong.
Hope you get the computer sorted and get back here posting as strongly as ever soon!

We had a virus on our computer, but we did a system restore to an earlier date and it seems to have worked.
Still reluctant to use internet banking etc. just incase.
New flat is lovely. Heats up nice and warm, unlike where we have lived for last few years. There have been various problems as is the norm with this sort of thing, but thankfully nothing too scary so far!
I am still bet-free in my opinion. We found a pound coin in our new flat, and put it on the lotto last night. Stupid really, thinking people say if you find money it might be magically bestowed with luck! it wasn't of course.
I know this is still betting to you purists, and was stupid considering a lotto ticket led to a lapse last time round, but its done. Hubby has debit card just incase it does stir up feelings of wanting to bet.
Im still pleased with my progress and that I have dramatically altered my betting behaviour to virtually nothing. slips are still happening occasionally and I still have to constantly work on it. However, I still think you can be positive without being in denial.
And in that positive spirit, I think I am doing rather well actually!
Sorry Ive not been posting support to others, I am just focusing on me, but you are all in my thoughts 🙂
Hi f.. yes I get a bit paranoid about doing certain stuff on the internet like internet banking. I keep getting messages from my security software saying "an incoming port scan has been blocked".. what does this mean I wonder? do i need to worry?
Glad your feeling upbeat and positive. You seem in a good place. Whilst i am a purist try not to let buying the odd lottery ticket or whatever mean that you feel unable to post. What really matters is that your enjoying life and positve in spirit. You have a supprtive partner a home you like living in and a job.. sounds great to me.. enjoy! S.A 🙂
Hi Freda, just thought i would have a quick catch up on your progress both with your recovery and your new flat,i'm very glad to read that all is going well on both fronts:),it must be a relief for you both to have finally moved in!!!,great stuff:).
Seano.
Stressful week this week! handing keys back for old place at weekend, so we are on a deadline and both at work!
Nevermind though, these things happen. It will be worth it! I am very greatful to be getting on the property ladder, and must not forget how good things are for me.
