Dear bear,
This is not day one my friend. This is a little slip..these are expected in our journeys I'm afraid. I know how you feel, please don't get into your mindset that this little blip ruined all your hard work cause it didn't ok..you need to keep your logic head on now my friend. There are two roads you can choose: keep sulking and making matters worse (god forbid) or admitting that recovery is not perfect and this little setback is just a little drop in the sea.
Please do not let this affect you. You know yourself how well you're doing. Nothing changed ok, you are in recovery and trying your best. This is more than enough.
be kind to you...your family needs you..
keep posting, support is here and we all walk alongside you!

Hi Bear what a man. You have had a small blip but the important thing is you have realised your mistake and got right back on it. It takes a great man to admit his mistakes and then move on from them.
You deserve every positive post. You are at your most vunerable now stay strong get back on track make this a slip not a binge you have done well and you will keep doing well.
Sorry to hear you had a relapse. Try not to over catastrophise it. It wasnt ideal obviously but try to use it in understanding your addiction. When was the seed sown with the trainer, we very rarely just have that 1st bet impulsively. It starts with a small thought that we dismiss. It gathers momentum till it becomes a runaway train we are powerless to stop. Recognizing that 1st thought & dealing with it are key to preventing relapse.
Take heart from the fact you now have more information about yourself now to help in your fight.
You came straight back here & that takes real courage & honesty. You have all the tools needed to arrest this.
You will do this.
Dan

Dear bear,
As much as difficult you find to accept that recovery is one huge roller coaster and there is no straight line, you need to bounce back and make the most of it again. I'm right beside ya, keep posting, keep fighting and never give up on giving up!
Your family needs you, keep making the right choice.
Stay safe man, keep winning..
