Hello SA glad your feeling a bit better. Try not to let things get you down so much easier said than done I know. Runnings going well so that's good my first bit if exercise today - bought a DVD and gonna try it out a little later. Start running when it gets warmer lol I'm not hardcore like you. Great motivation signing up to some races. I'm gonna sign up to one for later in the year I need something to keep my motivation up. Anyway have a good day and well done on the ten weeks as you say great to get those weeks under your belt.

Just dropping in to say thanks for all your support on this site over the years. You have beena good friend.

I know what you mean about feeling like you are going around in circles. Feels like a treadmill doesn't it, sleep, eat work.. when I think back to my childhood I see what the folks meant about you will look back and think 'those were the days!'

Trouble is we have to live for the moment now. I really wish I could get out of the rat race, but on a low paid wage with quite a bit of debt from gambling and so I must focus my energies while I still can.

At least you are independent, I am still with one of my parents and it is not easy at times, contrary to what people think.

Day 72 gamble free.

As always I appreciate the feedback guys and gals. I get back to you all soon enough.

Very tired today but all is fine. Horrid boss has been completely absent the last 2 days, so its not surprisingly that everyone has been calm and relaxed and work has been bordering on fun. Horrid boss is in for her final day tomorrow. I will make myself as invisible as possible.

Had a good gym session this eve, though am most jealous of those souls who can bound along at 15 km's an hour for a whole hour.. awesome speed!

I have some reflections and thoughts on stuff swirling around my headspace, but they can wait for another day... I need sleep.

No gambling problems and thanks for listening... S.A 🙂

Hey thanks peeps! 🙂

Day 73 comes to an end... no gambling problems.

The witch was in Freda and doing peoples appraisals, but i was out the centre so she couldn't do mine (excellent!). I heard from a collegue who'd had his appraisal that she said to him... "the reason am moving up in the company is because I don't care about people." She actually said this in someones appraisal as if it was something to be proud of! The real reason she's got a new job is because its a family run buisness and she's family and ive heard through the grapevine that its not really a promotion.. too long winded to explain here. We go out for a few drinks friday to celebrate her departure.

I take some learning from this whole s**t boss thing. I have come to the conclusion that it really isn't worth the stress of working with or having a boss who is vile. Its not worth the stress of working with folk you don't like. If you can get out then get out. Ive spent 2 years moaning about my boss but didn't get out. I have a certain satisfaction of having survived her but I really could have done without all the grief.

Self-centred, narcissistic people.. i'd like to put them all in a boat, sale them out into the mid-atlantic and sink the boat... only joking, I spose.

Am trying to do some Nvq work but am slowly dying of the tedium of it all. Anyway am fine in the great scheme of things. Thanks for listening.. S.A 🙂

She is one piece of work!!!!! there is your validation right there - you struggled to cope with her vile behaviour because you are human, not inhumane like her. Who admits that in the context of boasting??? and why has she had children???

Not your problem to figure out now, but scary that people like her walk amongst us...

PS - you are right, it does happen quite a lot. Hubby got his job in that way. He was next in line originally, and had there been one more vacancy he would have got it. They asked him back at a later date, and he has been there 3 years now.

Thanks all 🙂

Day 74.. day off today as working the weekend.. and yup the boss is all but gone and hopefully just someone i will see around from time to time and be civil to as necessary.

Am about to have a modest pay rise because ive been with the company 2 years. Pay goes up and tax credits will go down to nothing i'd imagine... so i will kinda stay where i am financially. Musn't grumble though..a pay rise is always a good thing.

I bumped into an old mate I went through rehab with today. He's a bus driver and i got on his bus. At first he didn't want to acknowledge me but then we had a brief chat at the end of the route I found out why.. hes been back gambling. This is a fella that went for several years without gambling... longer than my longest stint off it. he says he's back on the wagon now, but only he knows the truth of it.

In a selfish way its emboldened me to stay clean. he had that look about him.. the tired evavsive eyes.. a man who is stressed and inwardly focussed. I hope he gets to a better place, same goes for me.

Thanks for listening... S.A 🙂
