I am stronger than I thought!

I am really touched by all ur messages. This is just a really quick post I passed a huge test and I am still gamble free :)....It's been a wk since I last posted. I will explain more 2moro. I will catch up properly 2moro.

How are you? it has been a while i haven't posted for a week been so busy with getting out the army but I am free now. Had a lovely surprise celebration last night and didn't gamble as awesome night though :). Glad you had a good weekend and are still going strong.

We going to the cinema today to watch judge dredd will let you know if it any good lol

I have not posted or been on chat 4 a wk in fact the 1st time I logged on this site since last friday was last nite. I could have logged on if I wanted 2. But I decided 2 take a break. This was cus of a few reasons really..I needed 2 test my strength away from this site alone, also posting and chat had really burnt me out and I needed some space also when I was in Blackpool I saw they had lots 4 little ones there and my bf had the wk off work so he came up on Monday with Maddison, I stayed and we had a little break there. It was nice 2 spend some quality time 2gether 🙂

Last wknd was tough tbh, it was a good wknd but lots of my friends were playing the machines... there r so many arcades in Blackpool, some even have rides in, like ghost trains and wheels they r huge... one arcade is open from 10am -3am... I saw some really sad sights there 2 little boys about 6 knelt on stalls next to their parents who were giving them money 2 put in the fruit machines. That made me annoyed really they looked sooo young bless them. I hope it does not affect them in the future 🙂

My friends played the machines, when I was tempted at the start I called my bf 4 a bit and that worked. Nr the end the machines did not even interest me. I felt sorry 4 the ppl playing them.

The nite life was really rough in Blackpool, not sure I would go clubbing there again... but it was a fun wknd and I passed a huge test and stayed gamble free 🙂 I am soooo proud of myself 🙂

We took Maddison 2 the Pleasure beach, there is Nickelodeon land there, lots of little kids rides she loved the dora the exporer balloon that went around on water the most. We went on an open top tram tour of the lights, saw the firework display went 2 the sandcastle water world, went on a horse and cart. Maddison loved it she smiled sooooo much that's all that matters 2 me and my bf and it is soooo much more rewarding than gambling!

We stayed in a really nice hotel next 2 the theme park, I did not realise at the time but it's where some of the stars that r performing in Blackpool stay. Me and my bf were at breakfast one morning and everyone was asking the man sat on the table next 2 us 4 his autograph and it was Christopher Biggins. Surprised he was eating with everyone but he seemed happy signing autographs!

So I have had a gr8 wk, I managed 2 stay strong and pass a huge test. I have gone past 8 wks gamble free now and I am sooo determined 2 stay strong 🙂

We r saving 4 a holiday 2 Florida next yr, so lots 2 look 4ward 2 🙂

Blimey Christopher Biggins, King of the Jungle, well jeal, I really am!

Made up you're safe and well Lotte, everyone was close to forming a posse and heading for Blackpool looking for you. There would have been a least a hundred of us, like cowboys, in 'kiss me quick, squeeze me slow' hats, riding past on cute donkeys quietly searching, twitching as we trotted past the flashing and noisy arcades. I would have been at the front chewing a cheroot of pink rock as the northern air gently caressed my jet black, ridiculous looking mullet.

So, so pleased you had a great time with your BF and little Madison, life is for living and enjoying and it pleases me so much when I read someone on this site has done something 'normal' like this. Something we couldn't dream of doing when we were gambling.

We all need a break from this site from time to time as well, I think that's perfectly normal too. It is a bit of a test to do this. Yet the less addicted we become the more we live, that's part of a healthy recovery. However, personally I don't think I'll ever leave this site forever because the people, their tales and advice are always beneficial to me.

So 10/10 Lotte and well done. Enjoy planning for the future with a smile. Enjoy thinking about future holidays with your little one and your BF. enjoy all you've achieved, how much you've grown and just enjoy being you.
