Hi Charlotte,
Just having a quick catch up, and didn't realise you had got a new job - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
I totally understand where you are coming from with the lack of self belief, and think you are so courageous pushing through it. It must have been a very scary week, so I hope you feel proud. I am proud of you!
Sounds like you have a nice boss, who remembers to actually mention that you are doing great. A lot of bosses never praise their staff, and it is sooo important and I reckon it must have been a massive relief to hear.
Stay strong - I still believe in you as ever!!

Is there something in the air? Main thing is we both resisted. Urges are gonna be there from time to time. It's all about making the right choices and dealing with them. The urges will pass. You know if you give in all you'll feel is disappointment. Keep strong charl. You've had a busy and stressful time of late. I can only imagine what it's like starting a new job and looking after a one year old. So your doing amazingly well. Never forget that.
Charl soz for mucking around in chat tonight hun I was only joking I hope you are ok hun. I look up to you x
hi charlotte
thanks for the kind words of support, glad to hear you keeping busy it is always good to not have too much time on our hands eh?? those urges will always be a small niggling factor in the back of your mind but today you did not gamble and next time they come along you will also not gamble because you are a changed person.
take care
gamble frees the way forward

hiya Charlotte
just catching up and reading some of your posts there and poems that I love..
Confidence is a funny thing....If it helps hun..I am 45 and still struggle with having real inner confidence as I always doubt my abilities especially in the workplace.
Somedays I feel a fraud but on the surface you wouldnt know whats going on inside...
(Thats why ladies toilets have cubicles ...so we can sit for longer building up our strength to go back out and face those fears.) xx
I think when we are that way we try extra hard and do what we think comes easy to others and we do a fantastic job.
I have learnt over the years is the ones who seem to be able to have no fears are the ones who just have a better mask and do a half hearted job. .
Time is all you need to get to grips with a different routine, different people and learning new skills...
Like you hun I shall be out of my comfort zone in about two weeks and a newbie in my new job.
Even having 20 odd years of work behind me in very responsible roles..I am terrified.. : /
My first week of training is in London....even the word London makes me feel overwhelmed as i always feel like some hicksville tourist in London and very small..
Up here Im a bigger fish in a smaller pond but down there Im not...im a little "nemo" fish in a big sea!!
You DO deserve to be in your new job and it will stretch you and that will in turn build your confidence hun...
As a Trainer myself ..I would rather have someone like you who was a bit nervous and unsure and who really wanted to be there as someone like you Charlotte will be a loyal employee and a hard worker and your Trainer will see that.
I have trained many "gobs on sticks" and who appear uber confident and they don't last two minutes....
You will go from strength to strength hun and remember we are all here for you...many of us working as Managers, and in senior roles ...so you have a full professional support network right behind you every day who are also your friends....
Keep posting hun...we shall keep you held high in your rightful new position...and hey! I shall be looking to you to hold my hand in a few weeks when I'm the newbie in town. : )
hugs
R and D xxx

Hi Charlotte 🙂
Hope those urges past and left you alone. How is work treating you?
Well I got a job am really happy and start Wednesday so that will keep me busy Monday to Friday 🙂
Stay strong Charlotte we are so close to beating that 90 day challenge you can do this. Don't let gambling get the better of you like it has all of us so many times before.
Take care and hopefully catch up soon.
Ricky xx
hi charlotte
hope the start of another working week has begun well for yourself, like when we dont gamble we get stronger each day, you will get stronger and stronger in your position at work im sure its just about sticking in there. if your work is even 60 per cent of the effort and determination and help you have given to giving up gambling then your bosses are the lucky ones.
take care
gamble frees the way forward
