Hey Charl,

Just catching up really and noticed you have had a tough few days! What always stands out with you Charl is the maturity you show in dealing with problems and issues! I know many people would agree that you are a hugely popular forum member and it's because you are honest about your feelings good or bad yet still find the time and strength to support others!

Great to read your post yday that you seem to be emerging from a tough few days! The urges will come and too be honest I could prob pinpoint why they came! However, what matters is you have remained strong and can now move forward again safe in the knowledge you have inspired many people once again!

Only 1 week to go on the 90 day thread thanks for being such an awesome member!

Flagg

Hey Charlotte,

Good to hear from you again too, as you are aware I dont get much time to come on and actually (I know this sounds a bit insane) staying away from everything related to gambling, even this foorum over the last few months has helped ne overcome this. I only get urges now when I am seriously drunk (hence my return post).

But there is one thing for sure, I get down, seriously down at times as you have in the last few weeks.. I guess for me anyway this is due to the fact that I have neglected all the good and beautiful things in life such as friends, family, relationships and commitments over the last 7 years. I guess that's gotta take time to build up again. This is just part of the recovery I guess and believe me you get through it bit by bit, just as you have and are doing done. Good on ya! 🙂

I will be around more frequently I feel given my work time table at the moment, and that I dont seem to have any desire to gamble anymore. I feel it's the recovery in life and its processess that I need help with and this forum now I feel can help me achieve that as it has helped you lots wiith al the great people in this community.

All I can say is Good Job! Get in and Live it again!

Take Care for now...

Pete.xxx

Hi Charl, just read your last few posts, im glad youve spoken to your boyfriend and it sounds like things are turning for you. Its great to hear your getting on well with the work lot, its not essential but its certainly nice if you can get on with the people you work with.

Hope youve had a good saturday and enjoy a nice sunday whatever your upto. This is such a difficult journey and what you put on my diary is right, it really is full of ups and downs but the downs of gambling our just so terrible its really never worth it. As long as were gamble free today weve done something right today. I really want to thank you for posting on my diary recently. Your words of advice, encouargement and support have meant so much. Its really given me that lift when i needed it most. I shall never forget that. I want to fix my life and stop making stupid decisions that have big consiquences (if ive spelt that right its a miracle, lol). Im feeling a lot better than i was (both with the man flu and the gambling demons). I wish you all the best, looking forward now to finishing the 90 day thread, thanks again. See you at the finish line!

Thanks all 4 ur support and kind words 🙂

I am feeling alot more positive atm 🙂

I had a lovely day wilth my bf and Maddison yesterday the weather was nice.... We took Maddison 2 the park, then we walked along the waterfront me and my bf had a long chat... It was nice 2 be able to speak 2 him and not push him away.... Maddison enjoyed feeding the ducks, lots of smiles much more rewarding than gambling!

When I got paid last wk, I wanted 2 gamble... But 2day I am taking my parents out 4 lunch as a thank u 4 looking after Madddison when I am at work... My nan is also coming and I am going 2 pay 4 it....This makes me smile and I am proud of myself.... They were soooo grateful when I told them and this was worth more than ne time sat in front of a machine!

I am still gamble free, and sooo happy I stayed strong thru the tough times. Thank u 2 all of u that supported me this wk.... u all helped me stay strong 🙂

I hope everyone as a gr8 day x
