86 days off to work so will catch up about 9pm x
88 days gf and today will be another gf day, whilst it's getting easier still staying on my guard as you never know when mr g is likely to pop up and try and get me back in his cult were I hand over all my hard earned money and he gives me misery, anxiety and stress in return not to mention the debts etc., Third pay day has now past for me and I've paid some more off my debts I can still remember all too well were you try to make a deposit to an online gambling site and it comes back 'deposit refused, please try another card' and at that point your heart is in your mouth because you think I couldn't possibly have spent all that money but you have and that's when you start to panic and feel sick and hate yourself, that memory is what keeps me gf as I never want to feel that low and panicky again, good luck and best wishes to all on this journey x X
Day 89 almost over and it has been gf and so will tomorrow be gf X
Morning day 90 and gf, 10 more days to reach my next target, got time to catch up today and do 'me' things as I have the day off properly! I'm going to take the dog on a long walk and get some fresh air into my lungs, it's not just the money that not gambling makes a difference to, mind and body are more healthy. I've not done so much walking since my teens and before I could drive, it's passing the time and got me through some of the urges in the early days and also burning up some calories mr g gave me for sitting for long periods of time and eating junk food because I had not got the time to eat a proper meal (used to think the next hour is luckier have to play) how silly that sounds now as once th fog has cleared we know that it doesn't matter what hour or day it is we will always loose because we cannot stop even when winning. I've also learnt that like most people one of my triggers was chasing the losses and that's why you will not be successful at staying gf until you realise and accept that the money is gone , its highly unlikely you will win it back and then stop. Don't get me wrong everything is not roses, I still have the debts but they decrease every month and there will be a point when I will be debt free but that's only because I have stopped and have to remain gf to achieve it. The new life of being gf is oh so much better and stress free so for anyone reading today who is in the early days, stick with it, you will see the benefits of not gf and grab you life back x
Legs killing me , walked 5 miles today up two big hills and back down again, getting in practice for snowdon, my challenge for 2017. X
Blimey it blanked out h i l l s x
Hi anon merry Christmas
Are you sure it said hills lol.
I had some blue earphones for Christmas so you can stop laughing now.
9 more days for you.
Have a great one x
Try "steep inclines"?
Hi Anon,
Thanks for your kind post on my diary. Well done on your next approaching milestone, certainly not something to be sniffed at. Good luck for your climb of Snowdon, have you considered which way up you intend to take, as there are several paths of varying difficulty. Personally, I always go over Crib Goch on the way up - really gets the heart rate going. Anyway, keep at it with the walking, and you'll find that the uphill does become easier (note - easier, not easy!).
All the best, Ryan
Hi mate,
I've always found walking mainly requires stubbornness rather than any great fitness (been between 18 and 24 stone for the last decade or so, and have walked all over the world). Llanberis path is nice in terms of its gradient (so you're not having to really slog up the steep bits, while the Snowdon Ranger also nice, but does have a bit of a steeper stretch. In terms of season to walk, personally I prefer spring or autumn, with September and early October usually my favourites as they tend to be dry and mild. Snowdonia doesn't really get too hot, so summer is also usually good most of the time, although I don't like walking once it gets over about 20 degrees, so have had a few sweaty days in the summer.
It's a great walk whichever option you take, although don't expect too much in terms of remote isolation on those paths!
Best of luck, Ryan
94 days gf, off to work but feeling good, family party tonight x
6 more sleeps by now I'm guessing party is in full swing
So enjoy.

Same employee, different department so much of a muchness except a minuscule shift change so I work an extra day in 40 (I think)...I'll take it though 🙂
Check you out racing onwards & upwards 🙂 Hope the family party went well & you're not on shift tonight?
And as for walking, I have some novice advice: get a comfy pair of walking boots, beg, steal or borrow some poles for the descent, take plenty of water (& some Compeed just in case) , layer up & try & get your Bridget Jones's on the right way round 😉
Nice to see you're nearly at that 100 mark, go u 🙂
Affected by gambling?
