After years of gambling and in debt , this year i was gonna get debt free. It nearly happened i was nearly there in touching distance but i foolishly let it wander back into my life. Roulette and slots i hate you.

It was a nice sunny day everyone around me was happy i was happy. But outta the blue it came back into my brain, lets have a go in the bookies. so i went in. I had cash on me i was gonna bank but i thought lets have a go on roulette. 30 minutes later i had put in 130 pounds. I was mad as hell. Then a bit a spin later i won the money i had put in back. I though right enough of that try rainbow riches. So i put it on 50p a spin. First spin pots bonus 500 pounds. I took it and ran.

Well that just set me off . when i got home i went on the internet and tried roulette on there. Now i havent online gamed in a while. So i had to set up an account. This is when i wished i had stopped. £2000 LATER i stopped.

I cannot believe i did it

Sat at home going crazy in my head

why oh why did i just lose all that money.

I;m so mad at myself i let it back in.

Obviously I blocked that account. And have to start again.

I feel like i wanna go crazy in my head but im a normal person so that won't happen.

Just gotta start again and be strong and don't fail.

I think it stays with you forever you just have to control it.

Keep the blocks in place and try and move on with your life.

Very similar scenario for me recently in regards to relapse from a big win and then spiralling out of control.

Tomorrow marks day 4 free again, before my relapse i had gone several months (I believe November16 being the last time i gambled). You let the FOBT reel you in, i know how easy it happens because the FOBT is my preferred vice especially Roulette, but we need to come to terms with the fact it isn't real. It is only there to take our money and even when on the odd occasion you have a lucky win, it is only on loan because the bookies know we ultimately will always go back for more and that is when the cycle starts again.

re-think your barriers, draw a line under the slip and focus on being stronger this time. Control your addiction don't let it control you.
