its been 23 years, but it needs to stop right now. i can do it.
Hi LK and welcome to the forum, 23 years is a long time if thats how long youv'e been gambling ? , thats the secret to giving up , accepting who we are , what we've done and letting the money lost go , when youv'e done that then you can move on and more importantly move forward with your life .
As you said in your post , " It does need to stop right now " and " you can do it " you just have to want to enough my friend !.
Best wishes and I look forward to hearing more of your story !

Day 2, 27/03/2016 sunday
i have decided to stop gambling for 2000 days to begin with. so 1998 days to go.
23 years of gambling and left me pennyless, has destroyed my mental health. every gambler who is an addict should come on here and tell their story, like a gambler union or something.
Hello lemonkingdom. Welcome to the forum. It's great that you have started a diary and have already started supporting others on here. You would be very welcome to give us a call on the GamCare helpline 0808 8020 133, or chat to us on the Netline. Counting days and posting on your diary will certainly help, but we can tell you about so many other ways to make it easier not to gamble.
Look forward to your continued diary. Best wishes for day 3!
Forum Admin.

Good luck my friend and stay positive, leave the money you lost in the past, in the past its gone and it doesn't matter anymore
Day 8, 2/4/2016 a 440 pounds loss disaster happened once again.
on day 6 and day 7, i went to casino and won 440 pounds in 2 days, yet last night in 4 trips i lost it all again. 75, 85, 170, 110.
440 pounds altogether. no sleep all night, and its now 9.43am. i really don't know why this happened. i am in tremendous stress after this big loss. i guess anything could happen in life, you never know what around the corner. i am now once again bankrupt with only a few pounds left in my purse. life is hell.
Hi Lemon
Just need to remember the pain of this loss the next time you get tempted to gamble and need to take one day at a time at the start.

day 9, 3/4/2016 sunday
l am still freaked out by the 440 pound loss. life is crazy. i was so happy before i gambled, when i was 13, and all this c**P started when i was allowed into the amusements to play the 5p fruit machines. 24 years later. no more fruit machines can be found anymore. and stupid roulette wheels everywhere, bookies everywhere, casinos everywhere. this city is evil to the limit. everyday is so stressful and full of s**t, its a living hell for all the people in this city. and tomorrow shall be another crazy day, no doubt. i have a cunning plan, however.
Affected by gambling?
