I recently made a post about how finally life was on the up.. now I feel so low I fear I can’t get out of it.

i recently upgraded my phone and as a matter of priority put Gamban on it. Then one day I noticed my Gamban has been disabled off my phone. When I looked deeper I noticed I could literally turn Gamban off and on at my own whim (not sure it’s supposed to work like that)

anyway one thing led to another and before I knew it I was back to my harrowing habit. The amazing high of winning some money and the crushing sickening low of losing everything.

i think as of today I just need to write every day sharing how I feel. I can’t let this beat me and reading all the support you guys give makes me believe in myself to get my life back on track before it kills me. Please I reach out to anyone asking for help because right now I can’t beat this alone..

Hi Wlock.

Youve started reaching out for help and you must continue. There is no shame in admitting to this problem.

Honesty and openness are your saviours. What you need is far deeper than Gamban.....Are you truly ready??

Gambling will ruin you. Gambling is killing you. You talk of highs which like any drug addiction become less and less until you barely flinch when something comes towards you

I dont talk about wins or games because its not a winners activity. When addicted most are past caring about the money...its just a  means to start and carry on until the bitter end

They talk about fun and entertainment. Since when was that the cold sweat/grim determination to break even or the trance of despair to numb reality. I felt mentally drained and shattered after my sessions...to call that entertainment is a sick joke and the gambling dens know we are hooked on something sinister.

Tell someone close. Secrets are no good for you. The power of this addiction is immense and waiting to come back at you.

Phones and gamban are on the list when you have built very strong foundations . The sort of blocks you are looking at include allowances and monitoring as you do the cold turkey....the cold turkey you must do and you can never be complacent for the rest of your life.

Does that scare you because its actually a positive statement you can build on to rescue your life

You will be doing new exercises like talking about your feelings to friends and family. If you cant control urges the phone may have to be taken off you for a while...this is no game about a silly flutter...its deadly serious!

If you think you can use a bit of casual willpower and one blocking app the addiction will laugh at you

Best wishes from everyone on the forum
