Thank you Cheryl, Casey, Balvaird, Suzy, Junnieee, GT, and Steve, your continuous support really does mean a lot xxx

Good morning diary.

500 days today

My recovery took another corner in the road after one year, and I feel I have turned another corner now.

Abstaining and maintaining feels like a normal part of my life now, it's like anything that is dangerous to us and that can harm us, we don't jump in to a fire, or jump off a cliff, we know what danger is and we act accordingly lol, so that is how I feel at this time about gambling, it's dangerous, so I keep well away from it. I tread carefully everyday and am very aware of the dangers that can crop up :))))

I am continuing to abstain and maintain one day at a time, staying SAS within my recovery journey which is my life.and hey diary, my life is not bad at all, In fact it's pretty good, (when looking at the bigger picture) and I am grateful to my recovery for showing me this.

Wishing everyone a strong, positive and calm gambling free day.

Suzanne xx

Hi Suzanne,

Many congratulations on reaching that 500 day mark hun.

You are an inspiration on here.

Your determination to beat gambling addiction and string together those 500 days has been awesome.

I admire your determination and quiet tenacity to get through each day, and still find the time to offer measured advice to others on this forum.

Much love and power to you Suzanne.

Your wish is certainly coming true, and I will raise a glass (or at least my huge mug of coffee) to you as you get through Day 501.....that's enough eh.

One day at a time.....

Take care of the days, and the weeks will take care of themselves!! ;0)

Ps: A friend at work lent me a great film, just before I went in for my op....it's called 'Unbroken' starring a marvellous young actor - Jack O'Connell. It's based on a true story, and I strongly recommend anyone to watch it, because I found it extremely empowering..........."a moments pain, for a lifetime of pleasure".......

Thank you so much Claire, bear, tri, ginge and Ade :)))Xxx

Good morning diary,

501 days and it sure feels good to past 500 :))).

LM unexpectedly had a sleep over with us last night, arriving at 7pm, he is running round like a loony as I type, with the Yorkie.

Have the car today so we will be out and about lol, keeping him occupied today is my choice for today lol.

Wishing everyone a strong and positive gambling free Friday.

Suzanne xx
