Hey up Blondie, thanks for dropping in on Saturday, we had an incredible day 🙂

Sorry to hear of your woes (hope the illness passes quickly) but very proud that you are facing them head on & not getting drawn back into the pain of your past! It's odd to hear from the other side of the coin coz all I hear is me mithering about Mother...Must have been hard for her watching me self destructing for all that time & not just because I was throwing away money she could have had 🙁 Wish my mum was strong like you!

Never give up fighting for everyone but don't neglect you - Juuuuuune

Hi Suzanne
Hope you are OK as it's difficult being out of the control of certain things life places before us.
Am here if you need anything and well done on your continued abstinence.
You continue to be such a positive force on here but I know even the strongest on here need someone to lean on at times.
Always by your side my friend

Hi Suzanne, Thanks for your earlier comment . Your def right, things dont need to be rushed and a good balance has to be found !

Wise comments from someone who's been going through recovery far longer than I . You have my deepest respect Suzanne for your continued abstainance from the big "G".

Hoping things are improving with the family health issues ? .

Regards and best wishes Alan x

Hi Suzanne,

Just wanted to write a quick post to thank you for your continued support. I actually remember you posting for the first time and remember what a bad place you where in. It's lovely to hear you are doing so well. Sorry to hear of the health issues affecting your family, hope they can all be dealt with quickly and expertly by the marvellous NHS we have here.

Will keep posting but want you to know how inspiring and thought provoking your posts can be.

I send my sincere thoughts to you and your family.

Rosie x

Thank you all for your concern, support, and well wishes, it is very much appreciated, this journey would be soo much harder without the support I receive from all you lovely folk on here, we all understand each other, :))))

Good morning diary,

560 days today, NGTR and no desire/wish or urge to do so :)))

My life is pretty much like a washing machine at the moment, doing a heavy wash, gentle wash, and then the aggressive spin lol.

Would like the wash to finish so I can dry the clothes and put them away, but there are things on hold and out of my control at the moment, I don't know the outcome yet and I can't change it either, I just have to remain patient, (not a good point with me as I don't have a lot of patience lol)

These issues have nothing to do with my addiction but I have to stay one step ahead, because I know my addiction would love to zoom back in, if I lost touch with my recovery journey.

My recovery is very strong st this time, (jeez not even worth thinking about if I was gambling at this time) I would be no use to anyone, and I am needed at this time, so my situation at this time is keeping me strong and focused.along with the amazing support I get from this forum, and the folks behind walls on here who help me more than they know in their individual ways,

Gambling is sooo very harmful, and it is self inflicted, we can change the outcome on that, it takes hard work, 100% commitment, and letting like minded folk help us, along with our loved ones, but whatever the weather recovery is possible, and with recovery, we see and deal with real life with all its warts, ups and downs,

Recovery only makes our lives better, within ourselves, it is sooo very much worth it, in every way, it is the only way to move forwards and upwards,

I keep my recovery at the front, even when I don't feel like saying anything, because I know I can never underestimate the power of this addiction, one step ahead, taking one day at a time with everything, is the sure positive way to keep safe and sound.

Wishing everyone a strong, positive and stress free gambling free day.

Suzanne xx

Thanks for dropping by and continuing to give me your support. I truely do appreciate it. Sorry life's got you in a spin at the moment. It's hard to have patience when you're waiting for news, especially about health matters. At least you're in a good place to face it with regards to Mr. G. If he was in your life things would be so much worse. Hopefully you'll hear some (good) news soon.

Keep going, one day at a time.

Thanks Steve and LB xxx

561 days of my rollercoaster journey.

Feeling calm and steady this morning, ready to take my day on, one thing I won't have to worry about lol, and that is gambling, could not be any further from my mind :)))

Wishing everyone a strong, calm and steady gambling free day.
