Day 37

not been on in over a week , very busy , work and decorating house arggh .. but it's kept me busy and pleased to say still gamble free , last week was hard midweek was really tempted to just have a few quid on champs lge make the footy interesting but didn't give in to them urges and was once again well happy with myself , this weekend sailed past , probably because of how busy I was , my mind was just on work and decorating which makes a pleasant change , no stop starting to check results or watch footy it was head down and get on with it. Hope everyone is doing okay and to the new members of the site keep coming onto this site and reading everyone's diaries and posts it really does help I can vouch for that . Guard still up , battle continues ..

Thanks for post pk09 mate.really pleased to see you are keeping up the good work to a gamble free life mate and long may it continue.;-) football is a killer mate,i lost 610 chasing a 40 poubdr losing bet few weeks back all teams wer favorite to win and all bets where singles so it shows the chance we have.NONE PAL. Take care and be kind to yourself.

Day 40

another little target reached the 40 day mark not a massive total but it's a goal I set myself which I've completed . Next goal is the 50 day mark , big week ahead , the weekend then Cheltenham , all the adverts , all the press but I will just do what I've been doing and watch if I can but if urges come then try and avoid full stop , first to get past this weekend . Hope everyone is doing okay .

Day 42

wierd day today , was around people who had gambled on the footy , they were very suprised I hadn't gambled ,all had bets on and all watching results and goals come in , one lad chuffed he'd won his bet until a certain team conceded two late goals and cost him , but everyone was laughing and consoling him in jest . I meanwhile just had an empty feeling all afternoon , like I was missing out on something and wasn't part of something , if that makes sense to anyone , maybe just me I don't know . I started thinking is this what's it's gonna be like, this is what it's gotta to be like, I've given up gambling and even gave up watching it at first but I can't stop this today and in the future being around these guys due to work just gonna have to be very strong on these days . I know there's a difference these guys have there little bet on a Saturday and I don't begrudge them that , were mines once I start I simply cannot stop . Anyway wierd day , first time I've really felt like this in 6 weeks , another hurdle passed, sorry for rant . I did not gamble today which is good . Hope everyone's doing okay and enjoying there weekend .

Day 1 again ..

No bet today .. Got to day 45 this time .. Cheltenham Tuesday woke up all positive no problem I thought , 5 days of gambling later , I'm back .. So mad with myself, head is spinning. Here we go again ..

Very very tough day today ... Hope everyone else is doing okay ..

Day 6

I've Not posted but I've been on here every day , I've not had any bets at all , not thought about having one to be honest , still mad about last week , all came back and I hated it !! Not the money that hurt but the fact once again I was more interested in my bets than my family , that's the bit that hurts the most . I put placing and watching bets and doing it all in secret over my family ..
