Enjoy reading the post since last time. Made me think a lot. I guess I have been selfish in the past purely because of my gambling. I know it will take time to overcome some of the feelings I have.

Hi wp I did have blocks in place but removed them at least as far as the pcs go. Dont really want to say much more on that 1. I have to do this cold turkey so to speak. Last night showed me how raw it all still is. Thanks for your continued support. Blocked.

hi wp, thanks for your posts.

I too cannot imagine not using the forum, whether i am 6 months or years (hopefully !) gamble free - i know things & circumstances change, but i know fine well if i am not getting help in someway from others with the same affliction, then i am in serious danger of relapsing.

Thanks for all the encouragement and support you give to so many, myself included.

have a great weekend

tommi

Hey wp thanks for the post.Don't mean to bore you "Again".

Just popping in again to say i still do need to write down how i feel.I will not be logging off anytime soon.

Just posting less.

As i've said i'm not cured by any means but i needed and still do to focus on me and my family. In saying that i will still read up on diaries and i will post now and then but not as often. But if thre is one diary who does inspire people on here its yours.

Keep that in mind mate because the more you push for what you really want in life the easier it gets!

Viggo.

Like you, I dreaded the payday as I always knew what would happen to the money in the 30/31 days that followed.

I now sort out my bills as early as possible so that I don't have the opportunity to waste any further money for the rest of the month whilst still having a bit left over to enjoy myself.

Have a great weekend.

Hi wp

Thanks for your post, it's appreciated.

Like you I think I'm finally getting the hang of the one day at a time thing. It works.

Strong urges for me this afternoon but did not weaken. Saturday always difficult thinking of C4 in the afternoon but did not go there.

Cold Turkey! I've always liked turkey anyway and it's a better feeling in my head than sweating over some horse that doesn't know that it's 2/5 and has loads of cash that belongs to the credit card company on it's back.

Have a peaceful gamble free weekend.

David

Hi wp... ive just read Mickeys post.. so thanks for pointing me in that direction. Its a powerful post thats for sure, puts gambling addiction into perspective. I remember the gambling episode just before I started my diary back in 2008 it was after nearly 3 years without a bet of any kind. As with Mickey it was as if i had never been away the only difference being was that it stayed as a single episode, but it could have been so different, very nearly was. Anyway thanks again, no lottery for me.

Great North run I will do it at some point am sure.. thoroughly enjoyed watching it this morning.. that Salassi fellow hes quite something.. under an hour for a half-marathon. All the best in recovery.. S.A 🙂
