my betting diary

I could not bear the thought of losing my diary at the moment - I have this dream of reaching a 1000 post count like the legends of this forum!

But I shall certainly be looking out for your new one should you decide to go ahead with it.

Like viggo mentioned, you have done this on your own, which takes tremendous courage. I take my hat off to you. You and I know that whether it's one year or ten years 'it' will always be with us. wp.... as echoed by many others.... I find it encouraging, reassuring and motivational to touch base with your diary. Ok so it may now be five times the length of the bible and there's not a chance I will read it all but I do like just dropping in on various stages and was planning to look in on some of the longer diaries as I reach various landmarks.....

perhaps you could give a summary of journey so far and then add an edit the first post to say please feel free to skip to page 19,756 to see a brief summary of my first year.... just a thought

once again thanks for all your efforts and comments on other posts, Im sure you are aware of other members that you find inspiring yourself....

thank you s.a lb pauls gt viggo seano russ and dan.... yes seano day 364 today (52 weeks)......the bandstand is being prepared for tomorrows fanfare but guys the way i see it is its just a minor milestone,as a comp gambler every day bet free is an achievement and a milestone at that....whilst im happy enough within myself i am not silly enough to think that i am cured....there is still a helluva long way to go yet my friends.....in fact i mentioned to a certain female over the weekend that im coming up for one year bet free and the reaction was i should be 3 or 4 years in had i listened....the wounds of hurt are still and most prob always be there....as for this diary,its got me to where im at today,good suggestion dan :-),so i may just amend the title....today i wont bet and im certainly not going to ruin my day tomorrow by gambling...have a nice day folks,we can do this 🙂

Don't let negative comments ruin what deserves to be a significant milestone for you and one which should be celebrated.

That bandstand is for you. I'm coming along for the celebrations, if that's OK. I can't afford a big pressie for you but I'll do my best and I'll bring a few beers and bottle of fizzy wine. You're scottish, if I remember ? I'll bring some of Dublin's finest (imported) buckfast too 🙂

thanks for your posts - at long long last i fianlly got to a computer !

the elements, and life in general have all conspired against me, but i am free again at last, and it feels a wee bit special - sometimes we take things for granted, and don't miss them till we lose them.

i am so pleased you are still going strong - and still helping so many people.

the pat on the back (that you 100% deserve) when you mentioned your milestone - and instead got a nippy comment - what can you do ? - wp, you can only do your best, and that is EXACTLY what you have done - the only way to silence your critics is to keep doing what you are doing.

thank you brian s.a tommi seano unlucky and russ....i have always stated sometimes my grammar is not the most understanding and it seems my latest post has been misunderstood....the negative post being referred to was a comment made by my ex about my recovery.....sorry if this caused any confusion....w.P 🙂

Just incase i dont post again this week let me congratulate you on your first of many gamblefree years.Great achievement kid,and i know with some of the added problems you have had during this year it must have been hard at times,and of course you only post by phone which has got to take longer.Its been a good year for you kid but ive got a feeling that next year is going to be special for you .
