Day 25 - 28/2/15

Thank NT - Its strange as i still get concerned about 'wasting' money on the treats which is ridiculous as before the money would have been wasted gambling with no reward or anything to show for it (and a hell of a lot more money spent too) I suppose its just learning to think differently and it will take time xxx

Have a good day everyone - cant believe its March tomorrow!!! (and only 9 weeks until baby - eek!!!)

Day 26 - 1/3/15

Wow we did it we got all the way through February. Yes still have temptations and I do think about gambling but I am getting there. Had a terrible day yesterday but managed to resist going into self destruct. Lets hope March is just as good as February (if not better) 🙂

1 more day and I have reached the last of my first 5 targets 1 whole month gamble free. Just got to try and decide on the next 5 now 🙂

Hoping that my determination will rub off onto the OH and we can both break free of this horrible addiction

Good Day everyone x

Nearly the end of the day - had a terrible shift at work - which would previously have me 'winding down' gambling but instead i am going to have a read of the new e-book i just downloaded to chill out. A lot cheaper and less stressful too xxx

Hi.

Well done on 30 days, (this is only day 2 for me.)

i read your diary today and love your "rewards" for reaching set days. I might take that up myself as it seems to be working so well for you.

Thank you for the idea, have a great day, you are doing so well.

xx

Day 31 - 6/3/2015

Thanks SallyW and emzy - you will get there too 🙂 I am just beginning my journey aswell but found that coming on here really helps and the rewards are a great incentive!

Went for my foot peel yesterday which was my reward for 1 month gamble free - and booked in for my pedicure for a future reward (have to keep confident)

My OH gets paid today i just hope the software he downloaded is enough to stop him gambling this week

Have a great day everyone xxx

Well done on 31 days,

You are getting stronger and more positive now, don't let your OH jeapodise your recovery, just keep concentrating on your own abstinence and the rewards you can give yourself by not playing and winning.

Hi Wants2Stop.

Just dropping by your diary to congratulate you on a full month gamble free... 31 days would cover even the biggest of months.

Glad your looking after your feet, I do have feet that probably require some loving but until I have to take my socks off (Probably mid to late April) I can pretend I don't.

Hope OH can follow your lead and not gamble. When my hubby & I both gave up smoking at the same time I am sure that the fact that neither of us wanted to be the first to cave in really helped us in succeeding. (He would have been impossible to live with if he had done better than me at stopping.).

xxx
