You must be feeling really good about yourself, well done! Just a thought to hold onto about Cheltenham, I live just around the corner from the racecourse, race days are the PITS!!!!!!! no parking, drunken Irishmen and lots of noise, noise, noise! Not the best place to be my friend, you are so much better out of it.

Day 302 - Thanks for all the posts everyone much appreciated.

Very short tonight not feeling it at all. No gambling though that's the main thing. Also probably the only thing I feel confident about at the moment. There, always a positive to be found.

Good Afternoon Diary,

Day 303 - A much better day thus far. Read a few old posts on my diary this morning and my good friend Blondie really gave my day the kickstart needed.

Had my annual review today and I think it went pretty well. Last year I expected much and got very little but I had spent the year gambling so maybe my hope was false. This year my hope is genuine so will just wait and see what I get in a few weeks time.

Got around a few diaries this afternoon which always perks me up. Not been doing the rounds so regularly lately but I do read each day and it's uplifting to see others doing so well.

Day 303 - A much better day!

Thanks for the support it really does mean a lot. I know what you mean I need to look forward from now on and try and learn from my mistakes.

I'm glad you are feeling a little better today. 303 days is a fantastic achievment.

Glad you've had a much better day and good luck with that review. From things you've put on here you clearly work hard so I'm sure it'll be good news in a few weeks.

Another good thread. Looking forward to this one. I suppose I shouldn't be putting to much emphasis on Cheltenham but it would just mean so much to get through it bet free and to a non horse racing fan that sounds crazy - it's only four days. But we and others know different and I know it will be a struggle but the rewards will be fantastic. I know how great a feeling it'll be for both of us and I look forward to taking it on with your good self and everyone on the thread.

Day 304 - Good day today first of 3 off work. Spent 4 hours cleaning the kitchen may have got slightly carried away!! However, filled my time and kept my mind from wondering! May even try a lie in tomo see how it goes!

Morning Diary,

Day 305 - Operation bedroom today. Not as intense as yesterday's kitchen blitz but feels good that it smells nice and fresh either way. Feel like I have come through that real slump of last week and the future looks a little rosier again. If the pattern is the same as last year I should be seeing a continued upward curve from now on. For another day the act of gambling is far removed from thoughts. A good day then!!

Day 305 - Bedroom Fun!

Not sure we've conversed directly before.. but I'm part of your 2013 gamble-free thread...

305 days - great achievement, and something for people like me to aspire to. Sounds like you're occupying your life/mind with productive things - good to keep the monster at bay! Agree with what others have said - I always find a natural lift as spring comes along, and we progressively say goodbye to the short days (and freezing cold mornings!)

Keep up the good work! Inspirational stuff.

I am glad one of my old posts gave you a lift the other day as yours did me.

I think your right maybe it is that time of year but I also think that maybe I need some additional help, I bottled out of the doctors the other day but have another app tomorrow which I will be making, it's people like you that give me the strength to keep fighting those demons so thank you my friend.

I have plenty of bedrooms that could do with a clean should the urge grab you lol.

Good Afternoon Diary,

Day 306 - Final of my 3 days off today. Been learning Spanish with my sister for the last 5 weeks. Today was test day and we are both doing really well. Picked up a lot of words and able to construct a fair few sentences pretty effectively. Onwards and upwards.

Really can see the big goal of 1 year now less than 60 days to go which means just over 50 until Barcelona trip. It has kept me going a number of times during my recovery and it's amazing to think it's so close now. One day at a time I will get there and beyond. Feel that confidence returning slowly and plenty reasons to be cheerful today.

Day 306 - Muy Bueno!!
