Hi Flagg

I'm so glad things seem to have got back to an even keel for you.

Like you, I'm enjoying "normal" things so much more now that my brain's not whizzing with gambling thoughts.

I owe you an apology Mr f, your 1st post to me included "....Today you did not gamble and every single day you say this you will begin to feel happier and stronger. It is a tough journey but one in which you can succeed".

I can now admit that at that time, I thought you were wrong- I couldn't picture success or happiness! Thank goodness you were right 🙂

Thanks for having faith in me when I didn't.

Take care,

Irene (happier, more successful, stronger)

x

Good Morning,

Day 316 - Strangely in a good mood for a Monday morning. Got up about 15 minutes earlier than normal and I really think that helped a little. By the time I got to work I was wide awake. Amazing how something so small can shape a day.

Think I have mentioned before I regularly go to a pub quiz. It's free to enter and the prize is a free meal in the pub worth £50 so there's no 'money' staked or played for. Anyway, the pub have moved the quiz from a Tuesday evening to a Sunday evening. We have won the last 2 quizzes so this week we have free meals on Tuesday and Sunday to enjoy. By next weekend I will be super fat Flagg.

Busy week ahead and then this time next week I will still be in bed as I have 2 days off. Once I return to work it will be one day away from March what a crazy thought that is.

Day 316 - Soon to be super fat!

Pub quiz winner, always said you were a wise man. Thanks for the post. Need some of those wise words. I can hear them just hope I'm listening and taking them in. I forget what gambling can do which is why I'll read back that last post on my old diary regularly cos I don't wanna forget and go back, really had enough. Anyway great to see you going so strong. Shook of those January blues and flying. Great stuff mate.

Morning,

Day 318 - Busy 3 days ahead at work and then a nice long weekend to look forward to. Already 3rd check in this weekend for the 2103 thread that is flying by.

Will post more in the coming days until then busy busy. No gambling really is a mug's game if you bet on football like I used to. So many match fixing stories coming out I was never going to win whilst at it lol!

Hello Diary,

Day 319 - Yet another early start for me today. Bad night last night with Barcelona losing. Shouldn't really make excuses but the pitch was absolutely disgusting for a huge club like Milan. Anyway, that has gone and in 3 weeks hopeful the scores will be turned around.

Really looking forward to the weekend hoping the weather improves a little though as these sharp frosts would put paid to any hopes of football Saturday. Until then just plodding along, with each day that passes the holiday and my 1 year draw ever nearer. Lots to look forward to, lots of reasons to continue my streak.

Day 319 - Plodding!

Hi Flagg

Thank you ever so much for your continued support it really does mean a lot, especially with how i am feeling at the moment. I have finally put a block on my computer, free trial luckly as don't have the money to pay for it right now.

Fantastic with 319 days you just keep on plodding right through them. I haven't used the word 'plodding' for a long time it kind of a nice word. Sorry rambling away. I hope you get to play your footy this weekend. Have a good one 🙂

Take care
