Hiya sue

And happy new year !

Not sure what's been goin on read a bit on other diaries along the lines of what ur sayin but can't say I av noticed anything myself , fortunately I don't get involved too much on here and just concentrate on my own recovery , I support many others to try and help them but keep a distance I got close to one or two shiny and Lucy but knew when to pull back

Fully agree with u its ur diary write what u like esp what u feel yes others will read and some will comment but its to benefit u to track ur progress to put down those thoughts u may not feel u can tell anybody else , like the saying better out than in !

I don't really know who is real and who is not real but to be honest I wouldn't let it bother me , what I do know is that ur a great supporter on this site u give everyone such a huge lift and its such a better place with u on it

Keep looking after no 1 ultimately thats all that matters

hey Sue..

Thanks for the shout out and for better or for worse im real......a gonk somedays ...but no troll. x

slapped myself around a bit..I do remember that post on your diary at the time that you mention..

Its hard i think to screen stuff out but as Castle says try not to let it bother you..

At the end of the day you are anonymus on here but i can understand you maybe feeling old feelings again but as you say ..you have'nt been pulled off track.

Even considering an absolute worst case scenario here on this forum try not to take it personally...bit rich coming from yours truly there but you know what i mean.....No one can hurt you but i understand if you need to keep your guard up and why this may bring up old stuff for you.

hugs

Hi Sue,

To be honest, I too found some of what has been bouncing around on the threads a bit distracting as well. I am soooo glad to hear that you didnt gamble about it. Stay strong my friend and I will too. -joanxxxx

Hi Diary,

Day 50

Naughty day.......lol

Feeling much better today...thank you everyone for the lovely posts.

It's Thursday...what happenens on Thursday.....Hiyya whap whoop!

Had a really interesting chat with the instructer (after I bowed...just once...lol)

Must admit when I first started going couldn't really GET how a wheelchair user with cerebral palsy...with the mind of a 3 year old would benefit from karate...but as we have progressed his self esteem has gone through the roof...started putting arms up and shouting at the same time to staff and other service users. Also it improves so many other functions (can't quite remember all he said) The instructer also said he felt the same till he started researching it. He is so comitted now and am planning to take another service user along as well. He has managed to get funding from our local council but said even if he didnt he would still continue.....Such nice people in the world.

Now....If you want to laugh at me go ahead!

As you all know I have been trying to get in touch with my spiritual side...well..I asked my guide how I would go about meeting my soul mate...then asked him to give me the same clue 3 times (this was before I went to sleep) Well B*****r me when I woke up and put tv on what advert came on......e dating...then 5 mins later item came up on sky news about people looking for relationships were turning more to on- line dating...then bloody hell radio on way to work advert again....filled in most of it...just got to compose the 250 words about myself..........Best not start it with "hi my name is womble But am an ex compulsive gambler"....LOL

Hope I have made a few folks smile tonight!

Love Womble xxxxxxx

What a lovely post about this service user and the support that he is getting. You are so right, there really are some lovely people in this world of ours.

Greedy gambling bosses who think nothing of extracting money from vulnerable people would do really well to sit in on of those karate sessions. Perhaps then, morals and values might just creep back into their lives.

Let's just focus on not feeding any more of our money to them, eh?

Hi Diary,

Day 51

Whats wrong with people who have a job and keep phoning in sick ?

I have worked every shift this week with a staff member down....god we only have 3 staff on!

I really don't think people think of the impact they have when they phone in sick. We are one of the organizations that pay sick from day 1. Service users don't get the attention they need and staff get kna**ered trying to cope...rant over!

Did have a giggle tho...my friend was busy telling about a dream she had about a rubber giant duck...when she woke up saw something on the tv about a duck somewhere or other and thought it strange. I found one of the residents choccy little ducks and hid them all over the house....we were in hysterics when she kept spotting them!

Laughing is good for the soul.

I would like to mention Duncs on my diary. I feel really saddened that he may not come back.....Please duncs re-consider...you help so many folks on here and selfishly I would miss your posts.

Womble x

Hi ya Womble.. so have you signed up for your online dating then?? Ive done it periodically over the years, I might start doing it again. A while back I went on eharmony and spent ages doing all the stuff they want you to do and the computer came back with several ideal matches but trouble is they were far away and without a car I felt it was a non-starter so I didn't follow through. In the past ive gone with datingdirect and met with a few ladies, but again nothing meaningful came of these encounters. They tended to be well to do professional ladies in the mid-thrities with own house and nice car looking to settle down and have babies.

The reality for me is that they mostly liked me BUT in me not being a "man of means" I didn't tick the relevant boxes. I think I will try again this year as my self-confidence starts to get better but be I will be more realistic about who i may decide to go on a date with. Good luck with your dating and have fun!

As for the people phoning in sick well yes its irritating isn't it. I have no problem if people are genuinely sick. I had a trapped nerve in my spine a couple of summers ago and was off work for 6 weeks.. that is genuine sick in my opinion. For me its the people that keep having odd days and its odd days that cause the problems and puts the stress on other staff, cos it can't be planned for when its last minute like that... its very selfish.

Here's another duck story. Years ago a container ship was caught up in a storm in the mid-pacific. Two containers were swept overboard. They contained rubber ducks... like the ones you get for the bath. Over the next decade these ducks were tracked on the ocean currents and they literally went all over the world. Some even found there way through the bearing staits across the arctic and into the atlantic to wash up on the shores of europe. Seriously well travelled duckies!!

Anyway enough of my ramblings. Thanks for your support and have a good weekend... S.A 🙂
