Saturday

I woke up early, well rested. That is something new and different for me.

I had some tea and toast in bed and browsed the papers and social media and stuff on my phone. I got togged up my white hi-tops, blue skinny jeans and my fave home shirt. I wore my big blue super dry parka/duffle thing with the big furry hood to stop the cold creeping into my bones. (Arthritis is the pits)

I went to Church to say some prayers but it was full of Orthodox Ethiopians and they worship in such a different style to my regular style and I didn't want to interupt them. They like take their shoes off and men and women are seperate and stuff. I just felt awks going to the statue of our lady to light a candle in the middle of all that so I left. I went to St. P's instead cos it's also on the way. By happy coincidence, my Parish Priest was up there too. I said my prayers and spoke to him briefly. He was very kind and happy to see me.

I went to Footy. My team lost. I saw my family and friends and mostly had fun though. It's not all bad. I queued for a meat pie at half time but they'd sold out of all hot food. #Gutted

I walked home. There was some bother in Town afterwards and police horses running round caralling the trouble-makers. It was so exciting so I stuck around to watch. Not a wise choice really but I don't care. I didn't have any colours on show (my shirt was under my big coat) so I was fairly confident I wouldn't get clumped. Also, I am a lass and lads rarely pick on women.

I went to the craft shop and got some spray-glue for Hubby. That stuff is dear! I also got some bull dog clips that I need for holding my big law books open when I'm studying.

I went to some charity shops and found a wonderful top that is going to be part of a birthday outfit. It's cream with like a jacquard sort of body to it, cotton long sleeves and two zips that run from the armpits down to the bottom and it's kinda long. I love it! Can't wait to plan what I'm gonna wear with it.

I came home and had a cheese sandwich and some pickles and worcester sauce crisps. Very nice.

Then I went to cleaning job no. 1. It was a state but I sorted it. Gonna do the other one tommoz.

Drama. x

Hello Drama. Hope you are happy and well after enjoying a lovely weekend. Sorry your football team lost again and am wondering if you should maybe choose another team. Hull City are a tip top northern club you could support if you so wished.

I have a picture in my mind of the top you bought in the charity shop and it looks super duper stylish and comfortable. I have picked up some really good buys in charity shops over the years.

You are now a bit if a legend on the diaries and your posts bring comfort and joy to many of us. If I think of gamcare as a treasure chest than you are one of the most radiant gems to be found in there.

Stephen, thank-you for the invitation to support Hull. I am gonna pass cos a) my Father would prolly disown me and b) if you cut me, I bleed my teams colours. I don't care if they win, lose or draw, they are my team.

Sunday

As I say, had a wonderful sleep. Real long. It's funny but I reckon I've spent so long staying up late that I don't often get REM sleep so dreams are amazing when they come. I had alsorts but the most noteworthy was last night when DI Burnside from and old show called the Bill was my boyfriend (I had a teenage crush on him). Anyway so some chav was trying to steal him away so I kicked her head in. At that point I woke up and I was trying to fight hubby. He had hold of my hands and saying there, there darling and all that and I went back to sleep. He's not unfamiliar with me having nightmares but not in recent times so he copes well. He cuddled up and I went back to sleep. I did NOT tell him I was having a dream about fighting over an old crush. Haha, that would've made him sad.

I went on chat and it was lovely to see Murlo for a spell. I got some advice about giving up booze from the chat mod but like, I do it every Lent so I'm confident I won't die. Even though I reckon they think I must be chugging a litre of vodka every day, I'm really not.

I went to Church and walked the dog round, then Lidl's and got some stuff to make a roast dinner then I went cleaning. I did a great job. It's very sparkly clean. Then I took the dog to the park. She loved it and was trotting around on tippy toes all happy. I didn't play Pokemon cos it's too cold to have my hands out. It hurts them.

I came home after that and made a roast dinner consisting of Roast Chicken, Pigs in blankets, Yorkshire Puddings (Homemade, you can get exiled from round here if you buy Aunt Bessies), White Cabbage with Butter and White Pepper, Roasted Potatos and Carrots and Paxo Stuffing. It is not Christmas yet. I'm not making my own stuffing. I gave the dog a whole roast dinner for herself and she snaffled the lot.

I tried to stick with my plan of being straight edge by Monday (I mentionned this to some folks) but I caved tonight during evening chat and went for some cigarettes. Least they are proper ones and not under-the-counter cheapies. I dunno. 2/3 ain't bad. So Meatloaf sings anyways.

I have just taken Hubby to the pub for a nightcap. He enjoyed it. Now I'm watching I'm a Celeb on +1 and then I'm going to bed. Try for an early night so I can get an early start.

I hope tommoz I do better with the cigs but it was too hard today. Least if I'm worrying about that, I'm not thinking about ought else.

Um, that'll do for an update.

Drama x
