Hi Alan! X finally realised I should post reply on your page lol! Duh I'm bit slow lol thanks Alan for posting again this place is a godsend! I really would be totally lost without it there will no doubt be more of my ramblings lol. I love the way folk help and support each other, none of us know each other yet we reach out to help that is special :)) yes I don't think of that well didn't but yes gambling has been my one and only 'interest' for years it will take time. I'm more than prepared to give it that time too. At moment I've got painting by numbers lol (not an artist lol) knitting, mosaicing and book keeping workbook oh and baking lol. I shall persevere until it begins to give me pleasure that it once did. Gambling takes so much from you doesn't it :(( I hate it now. Hi Alan x thank you for the post it totally makes sense and after reading that I'm not as upset and angry you've explained it so well. I agree totally it's good thing to do for me yet though like you said I just need to focus on remaining gf. As well as the cost it could be to my marriage, I don't want the inevitable arguments, accusations etc to mess up my recovery. Even though I feel positive I'm still fragile and I'm aware of this, falling out with my hubby would shatter what positivity I've got. Like you said as time goes on I'll feel less fragile and more stronger so be able to tell him. Thing is I really want to I don't want to keep it from him, but need to be stronger and less fragile. I know how he will react after 17 years you kind of know lol. He wouldn't take time to understand the addiction just throw s**t at me. Thanks Alan as always you've made me feel better :)) Lu xx

Don't let the fact that Clinton got Trumped get you down, Americans will soon enough come to realize what they have voted for. Plus, the material that British comedians will have for the next four years will be great.

Hi Alan, thank you for your post. Gosh you was young when you lost your dad, sorry to hear that. I still have both my parents and dread to think what I will be like when they are no longer with me. I reached my second target today of 45 days, next one 60, then the big 100. I can do this and I will, staying positive and on guard, boxing gloves at the ready incase Mr G shows up.
