I guess for me to go forward with my recovery I need to work on my inner peace. Arguing here and at home won't let me achieve that
Tis why I don't get involved
It's more respect everyone's view's even if they aren't that of my own

Peace out and thanks for the post

Morning Uncle George, thanks for your post. Has your blood pressure come back down yet? I appreciate you looking out for me. Funnily enough I decided not to use your template of a letter! Im going to write something a little bit calmer and with less swearing!

My reaction was very much like yours at times yesterday, but then I calmed down after a while.I got round to thinking that if he is, as I suspect, some kind of addict working a programme, then maybe I should be forgiving? It is all in the past and I am ok about it now. I wasn't expecting it to be dragged back up again so it was a shock. But I wish him well I suppose. It got me thinking about the whole forgiveness thing though. I didn't do any of the things that he did to me, but in my own addiction there's stuff I'm not proud of and I hope I'm forgiven for. Don't feel you have to answer, but I was wondering how it would be if you found yourself in a similar position with your ex-wife. If she sought help for her addiction and then asked for forgiveness? What would you do/say/feel? Even if that was 20 years from now. I don't know, it's a hard call. Anyway, I'm doing ok thanks so you can put those boxing gloves of yours away 🙂 LB x

Alan

Just wanted to drop a quick note and say thanks for hanging around. Have noticed you have a kind and supportive word for everyone on here. As a relatively newbie, I know how important it is to be heard.

I see a lot of post about blocks, etc. But you seem to read each post and offer indivual advice to the poster, not a cut and paste jobbie! Keep up the good work.

Thank you for being one of the team

Morning Diary ,

Well It certainly is a New Dawn and A New Day but not sure I feel so good !! :(( .

Still I have to look on the bright side of things as alway's as its not all doom and gloom from accross the pond as everbody loves a good ole American " Assassination " Ooop's Sorry I meant " Inauguration " the only downside I can see is that my good buddy Deanoo won't be around as much on the site as he's already booked his flight for a big bricklaying job coming up on the Mexican border ?

Adios Amigo :((

Pops, in the absence of Martin...Don't get drawn in! He's not worth it & more importantly, that diarist doesn't need it strewn all over his diary!
