Hi Chicago,
60 days!! 😀 Have a great day and enjoy your lunch date with your brother. Sounds lovely. -joanx
Really like the story about the apartment and your dad. Things seem to happen for a reason in our lives and are just meant to be. Sounds like the place was a stepping stone in a way for your dad and the same could be happening for you.
Hope your friday and weekend is good to ya.
Hi Chicago,
I really love hearing stories like that it makes me smile, call it fate, call it luck , call it a helping hand from something, or a coincidence, I like to think its a helping hand and a sign that we are heading in the right direction or that like my story just when you think there is no hope, something shows you otherwise.
There is a lesson in most things sometimes we just don't see it,
Take care your doing great

Goodmourning everyone,
Hope you all are enjoying your weekend. I had a nice lunch yesterday with my brother and a friend of ours. I had my grilled chicken breast sandwich that I had been looking forward to, and it was great. After some grub we went back to his house and watched some good T.V. and relaxed. The weather is warming up a bit around here this weekend, and the snow is melting. Had a interesting dream last nite, I was at a casino gambling. Now I've had these dreams before but's been awhile. The interesting thing is I remember in my dream feeling guilty that I had given into it, and had blew my 60 day no gambling streak. I'am looking at this as a positve dream because in the past when I had these dreams, within my dream, I didn't feel guilty I was gambling. This dream shows me how strong my conviction is to not gamble anymore in my mind. We just have to learn to roll with it and stay strong in our soberity.

Hi Chicago,
The itch to fish. I love it!! I too love fishing and cannot wait to get back to my favorite spot. I have to figure out how to post pictures because I have caught some really beautiful bass in a pond just within walking distance of my house. Will be looking forward to hearing more about your fishing adventures. Thanks for your continued support -- I am beginning to think that we can really do this!! Stay strong and I will too. -joan
Hi again
saw my first serious fishermen of the year on the opposite bank the other day in the pouring rain. Funny as a child I used to have nightmares about being trapped in a tank full of fish all squirming about and yet I live on a river now and have been fishing often with my ex in younger days. My nephews have been asking to come over and fish off the boat but still waiting for their Dad to bring them. My grandchildren fish in the river next to the boat when it's warmer but just catching tiddlers in nets which they think is great fun.
Just have to say how impressed I am with the support you are providing everyone, especially newcomers as it is quite a scary business coming on here for the first time baring your soul and to have someone respond in the way you do is so encouraging. I certainly appreciate hearing from you and want to congratulate you on achieving so much in your own battle as I know how difficult it is on a daily basis.

Goodafternoon everyone,
Hope all of you have enjoyed your weekend. It's a rainy day back here in Chi-town, but the weather has warmed up some, so that's nice. It's going to be a strong start to the beginning of the week, I have 1 on 1 therapy on Monday, and group therapy on Tuesday. My counsler will be back from vacation, so will be back on are normal schedule. All in all things are progressing well, I have a few moments, some days where I think about placing a bet, but I remind myself of how far I've come in soberity, and push those thoughts out of my mind. Thanks for all the support from so many great people. I wish you all the best in your recovery. Today I will not gamble.

Goodevening everyone,
Just got home from my 1 on 1 therapy session. That hour goes by to fast, but we do manage to make the most of the time. Have to get going on some of my goals I've been talking about doing. Everything is progressing well, again it's one day at a time right now process, this is a lifetime commitment. Today is 9 weeks of being gamble free. Lots of work ahead of me still, it's about learning to put your life back together, in all aspects, and pick the broken pieces up and super glue them back together. There will be alot of changes in the next couple months, but I welcome those changes, as this will be positive for my recovery. I wish you all the best in your recovery, and thanks for the support in mine.

Well done Chicago on being gamble free for nine weeks. You are right, it is about putting our lives back together pre-gambling. How exciting and rewarding is that!!
Take care and continue with your great effort in remaining gamble free.

Hi there, thanks so much for your continued support but have one complaint to make.
What the heck are you doing sending your snow over to us. We are quite capable of managing spring without it and to wake to wind, snow and -7 temp is just not good enough.
Enough said as I don't hold you personally responsible but please no more.
You are doing a brilliant job and just sending some virtual super glue to help with the fixing.
Many thanks
