So...here we are guys and dolls. ..the big one...100 days gamble free....
Turn the clock back all those days....I arrived here a broken...scared...deceitfull and emotionally f****d lady ...I was greeted by you wonderfull wonderfull people ...with no faces...just names. ..you propped me up...told me the tools to use to kick this vile online slot addiction in to touch...some of it I had already done....some I hadn't...some I doubted...some I didn't want to do...
None of you judged me...none of you shouted...none of you thought less of me....slowly. ..as the days mounted...as I went through the process all the things you all said we're right...and true. ..as I embraced recovery the fog in my head lifted....as you all said it. would...as I was honest...transparent and true to my family....things improved....as you all said it would....through the counselling from gamcare I came to understand so much about me....as you all said I would....and for all these things I thank each and everyone of you for getting me to this day...
To my family....especially my daughter....who pulled me up and made me see the addiction had a hold on me.
I'm so proud of you sweetheart...your a wonderfull young lady...a fantastic mother to my granddaughter....and a pleasure to call my girl...
To my husband...ok...so we have ground to cover...but lives good now.

Infact better than in the last 20 odd years...let's keep building on it..
To my other 2 children....thanks for not ditching mum...when the chips were down...your both as special to me as each other...
To my lovely friend who's also been with me all the way..
Thanks for not judging...and for beeing there
As for me....well I feel fantastic...strong...free...honest....love my new found life....and I will do all I can ...today ...and everyday to protect myself...my family...and my friends from the vile addiction that creeped up on me and led me to become a compulsive gambler. ..
Addiction can be beaten....but you have to want to...and work at it day in day out...forever...but for how I feel now....that's a small price to pay...
I'm off out with my girls and grandchildren today...a good old girlies shopping day...some coffees...some lunch...some laughs...but loads of love...

Seriously Lox I'm really made up for you and you deserve all the happiness and joy that comes your way , all the ups and downs that youv'e come through have brought you here, to a place where your now such a strong person who's determined to enjoy life once again and with the love and support of your wonderfull family I know you'll go from strengh to strength .

It's been an absolute pleasure to walk alongside you this last few months and all the giggles along the way have been great to share .

The simple and normal pleasures
in life really are the best...the everyday happenings are what lifes about...and boy am i thrilled to have moved on to that stage of my recovery....I will always remeber the dark days of my addiction and will always keep all guards in place to protect me from falling backwards.xx
