Day 15 and looking forward to my GA meeting tonight. I’ve had a good day so far and I’m feeling in a good place. Just need to stay strong and fight the crazy thoughts that sometimes come into my head.

Been using my phone to post lately and it’s so much easier on my laptop. It’s day 16 and it’s been eventful and I just can’t wait to get home from work. I’ve had to fight the urge to gamble on my lunch break and I have urges to gamble after work. I need to get a grip and sort my head out.
I need to focus on today, I can last the day without a bet. Just for today I will not gamble!

Don't give in. If you gamble on line, put your phone or tablet or whatever you use where you can't use it, put it in your car or somewhere.
Drive straight home after work and go see you son and take your dog for a good long walk.
You can win today and not gamble or you can wake up tomorrow feeling like s**t. You have a choice.
I am going to be severely pi**ed if I hear you have given any more money to the gambling industry - I really don't like them.

Thanks so much for the encouragement and two lovely messages. I got through my lunchtime blip and the cloud seemed to lift and I’m now safely home gamble free.
Day 17 has been a busy one with the family. Went to a great fireworks display last night and I'm looking forward to seeing some more over the weekend. Thankfully today has been much better than yesterday and I'm not having to fight any urges.

Thanks for the post Adam, its day 18 and I will be taking the dog on a long walk and then hopefully chilling and watching some fooball before going to see some more fireworks tonight. I'm feeling ok today, no dodgy thoughts in my head. Its been a long week, I have been under the weather with man flu and I'm almost over it now.
Just for today I need to keep the blocks up, remain focussed and ensure I do not gamble!
Been a good day 19, it was my last day in work and I start a new job next Monday which I am really looking forwards to. Had no thoughts enter my head and read some GA literature this morning, which really does make sense and allow you to understand how to progress day by day. Happy with my progress, early days but good strides forward.

Day 20 has been busy with family stuff. No time for my mind to wander and the days gone really quickly. Only a quick message as my phone is very low on battery.

Day 21 and I am enjoying a quiet moment while the little fella is asleep by chilling infront of Stranger Things. Once he wakes up we will head over to the park with the puppy. Another day with a clear mind is a good day and I have been onto the GA website and had a read of some of their literature which really does make sense.

Thanks for the post sjwsjw. I had some good news last night when I received my payslip I have received a tex refund and its a lot more than what I was expecting. With 2 big birthdays coming up in the next week it has really taken the pressure off. Things finally feel like they are picking up now. I'm looking forward to my GA meeting tonight, it feels good to be able to say I've not had a bet today or since my last meeting. Onwards and upwards for me!

Busy busy day at the shops today, feels a bit weird splashing out on birthday gifts part of me still wants to hold onto my money, I guess that’s because for years my money has purely been used as gambling tokens! I don’t want to spend it all and be skint as that’s how I always was when I gambled. My minds bound to be messed up after so many years of self destruction. Day by day things will surely come together.
