I haven't received treatment but maybe that's a path I need to look down. I have managed to block remaining accounts that didn't block themselves through gamblock. So I can't actually think of a way of how I could gamble online now, which is good. I just need to get my head down for the next few days. The first week after gambling is always terrible. I'm going to try and limit my time on the internet just to try and clear my head.

 Hi , bula

Thanks for posting and please continue to do so . There's lots of treatment options and support available .

To discuss please feel free to contact the GamCare Helpline on 0808 8020 133 or Netline to explore all of the additional support available to you. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if you would like to talk to one of the GamCare HelpLine advisers.

Things get better each day gambling free and you are never alone in this . It's really positive that you have blocked gambling online and are trying to rest and get your head down and away from gambling .

Take care and all the best with things.

Day 1 - I am not going to gamble today. Going to limit my time on the internet. Will come back online for a few hours later, but for now, I'm going to go to the gym and focus on different things. The first week after gambling I always find myself dwelling on the loss. I know it's gone, but it's hard not to hate myself for the first few days. Hope all is well with everyone reading this.

Hi bula,

Hating yourself for yesterday isn't the answer, today is a new day. How you going to spend it ?

Hi Bula,

Still believe you're a bright young man. Stay focused, let your intelligence come to the fore, not your wallet & see gambling for what it is. Keep pumping iron if you can due to lockdown, if not find another diversion to get the thoughts of gambling out of your head. I've still got faith in you despite your tender age of 22.

Best Wishes

Al

@slowlearner I'm doing my best at the moment and really hope it gets easier further down the line. As you mention, gyms are closed again now so I can't use that as a distraction, so so frustrating as I was starting to really enjoy going back! Thanks for your comment, hope you are doing good.

Day 5 - Taking it day by day, gyms closed again, was starting to enjoy going back but now that's been taken away from us again. I won't gamble today despite urges after looking at what football games are on. I WILL make it through to 2021 gamble free.

Congratulations on 5 days gamble free Bula.

You know there are plenty of ways to exercise without going to the gym.

I go walking every day around the waterfront and do a few exercises on railings and stuff.

Many walkers and breathless joggers pass by in all weathers.

Online exercise classes are available.

Headphones on and working out to your favourite music is fun.

Bula aint decrepit

His body is unique

Just needs to be fine tuned

To a gamble free physique

And than he will be happy

At ease with a cheerful smile

Walking the gamcare highway

Mile after mile after mile.

Wishing you every happiness Bula as you continue on your life saving journey of recovery.

Aum.
