Yihaaa - Woohoo - our ship has left the dock

On the deck of the "Slot Free" with a crew that's ready to rock

We will sail through bet free oceans with storms and tranquil seas

Many thanks to db23, Murlo, Boo and Eva for posting on my diary. I appreciate your support and encouragement.

I am really pleased that I have kept my resolve over the last 52 days and at the moment have no urge to gamble. Presently it is not really a problem as I am with family members and am being kept occupied all the time with christmassy things.

Best wishes to everyone on the diaries from Stephen x

☆ ☆ ☆ Merry Christmas GamCare Friends ☆ ☆ ☆

Today I have been thinking about friends who have been mistreated today or in the past and would like to send my love and best wishes to all those who have suffered.

Below is a quote by Cormac McCarthy:

"Those who have endured some misfortune will always be set apart but that is just that misfortune which is their gift and which is their strength and that they must make their way back into the common enterprise of man for without they do so it cannot go forward and they themselves will wither in bitterness."

Thank you Lisa, Bex and Mixer for visiting my diary with Christmas greetings. Wishing you every happiness over the coming days and throughout the year ahead.

Definitely feel better with 8 gamble free weeks under my belt and there is no reason why I should not remain that way throughout 2020.

It is not even something that requires a lot of thinking about because gambling just makes me sad and lonely with no money whereas I am reasonably contented when gamble-free.

Thank you for popping by my diary and giving your lovely words of encouragement, it’s means so much. It also encouraged me to post again so thank you for that too.

8 weeks is a great start to what I hope will be a long and enjoyable recovery. You deserve to have fun, enjoy life and to be kind to yourself. I’m rooting for you each day and seeing your success makes me feel happier and more positive, and inspires me to want to do better. Great work!

Bex x
