This will be my diary, I last bet yesterday and quite why I don't know.

I have the misfortune of living in Blackpool, so many ways and places to gamble.

Actually I do know why I bet yesterday, I am a compulsive gambler, seemingly hell bent on destroying anything good in my life.

Hi Blackpool666

Well done for taking the first steps to recovery. Admitting you have a problem and then seeking the assistance is a big step.

Although living in Blackpool you have a lot of temptation, the truth is no matter where you live if you are a gambling addict you will find somewhere to do it.

I would suggest trying to self exclude yourself from all online and real places that you normally gamble.

Do your family know? If they do then give them full access to your bank account and give up all debit and credit cards.

Also, set yourself targets on the length of time you go gamble free and also try and work out your financial position (depressing bit!) and set yourself targets regarding paying credit back.

And most importantly keep this diary going whether your succeeding or not. It's too easy to become complacent once you've been gamble free for a small period.

Good Luck

Craig
