I'm just looking at my levels in action and opportunities to move into recovery. Going up in action isn't saying I became a better gambler lol. I'm also not saying that anyone's addiction is worse than another. So
Level 1 Fruit machines
Level 2 Added in bookmakers
Level 3 Added in horseracing meetings
Level 4 Added in Greyhound Racing
Level 5 Added in Casinos
Level 6 Added in Lottery
Level 7 Added in Scratch cards
Level 8 Added in online poker
Level 9 Seriously bad move Added in slots
Level 10 The lift broke when I went fully online only
So.coming back down and looking at the opportunities to get off the lift at one of the floors
Level 10 Caught in arcades by Father, didn't get off
Level 9 Caught in bookmakers by Father, didn't get off
Level 8 Huge losses, massive debt, big bail out, didn't get off
Level 7 Loss of relationships and friendships, didn't get off
Level 6 Counselling, didn't get off
Level 5 Went to a GA meeting in 1992, didn't get off
Level 4 Lost 11 year relationship, didn't get off
Level 3 Met an amazing woman, didn't get off
Level 2 Daughter born, didn't get off
Level 1 Son born, didn't get off
Ground floor Daughter nearly died from epilepsy and made pact with God to save her, didn't get off
Upper ground floor Nearly got caught at work, didn't get off
Lower ground Broken, in chaos, numb and gave up for myself. Got off the lift and started to put the work in each day.
I guess it took me to the bottom of the lift to wake up and do this for myself. There is always another level below.
