Day 189=27 weeks
Lazy pj day. Had an unexpected call from old pal and met for a lovely evening walk 🙂
The weekend flies so quickly. Back to work and back on the smoke free wagon tomorrow!
hey Irene

Stu
Thanks Stu x
Day 190
I still love reaching a "zero" number! I also like reaching Sunday when my days change to weeks gamble free. I don't have these set as goals, however I strangely notice patterns in the numbers.... (oops, waffle!!!)
Work was good today- busy with what Im supposed to be doing and avoiding all of the "other stuff" which gets tagged onto my role.
Son called earlier to tell me he felt unwell (headache for 2 days). Its so unlike him, he's never sick, never complains. He's been under quite a bit of stress recently and has coped admirably. Like his mum, he's a "doer"- just puts his head down and gets on with life, so its a bit concerning that he's worried about his health.
Oh! Suppose I should update about the smoking- 4 cigs today (not perfect but better than recently!)
day 191
Done and dusted
Good Stuff!!xx
Oh no!! I did it again- typed a longish post and deleted it by mistake aarrggghhhhh!
Day 192
Quiet, feeling settled and peaceful. Little thoughts of gambling- declined offer of joining a "lottery syndicate" at work. I must admit to a "what if" moment however!
Hi Irene, my second day, its been hell, but I'm up for this fight. First step admit the true extent don't hold back clens the soul, let's stand together we can do this, we can make it,
The councillor let me sound off I don't want to let these guys down.. be true to yourself. Day by day brick by brick we can build a new life come on girl you can do this x

day 193
Almost forgot to post-dozed off after work (old age catching up!)
Nothing much to report which is good 🙂
Glad things are balanced for you at the moment. Also mega exhausted but then I am a pensioner so its allowed
xxx
oops! forgot to post yesterday!
day 195
Nightshift weekend here again! Just home and reluctant to go to bed-its a beautiful sunshiney morning! Hopefully this will continue 🙂
Working tonight but off Monday-why do they make bank hols just before payday??? Skint, so no great plans but I expect me n Paddy will enjoy a long walk after some cleaning!
day 196=28 weeks (oops, miscounted, though it was 29)
Anyhow, the important thing is I'm gamble free and plan to stay that way.
I am continually amazed at how we on this site experience similar feelings/do or don't do similar things. For me, this reinforces the idea that its "not just me" which is a comfort, as I'd no idea that I was the only one who behaved in certain ways and felt quite isolated.
I've had a lovely day (despite being knackered after working nightshift). Me n Paddy went for a lovely long walk along our canal, popped into see a friend and walked home- he's exhausted! I've done some gardening- why does it never look any tidier??
Unsure what I'll get up to tomorrow, it'll need to be free!
Its approaching a difficult time, I've been thinking lots the past few days and feeling quite sad-I was gambling last year and not as attentive as I could've been. I'll forever try to compensate for that- "time will make it easier" is such an inane but true platitude. Racking my brains thinking about how I can make it easier.
Jeez, I waffle when tired 🙂
I was going to catch up with other's diaries tonight but think I need an early night.
oh! not doing well with cigs but trying!
Irene.
Glad to read your enjoying the benefits of living gamble free, your so right in saying we all share similar traits, making for me some interesting encounters in life, i have found i can spot a fellow compulsive gambler from a distance.
The bragging of big wins, center of there own universe living for pipe dreams that are always one bet out of reach.!!
o*g that was me!!!
Not any more.
One day at a time
Duncs stepping forward never back.
P.s our hounds for tiny things never tire!!! Lol.
Affected by gambling?
