Dont get me wrong, it has been a real struggle at times over the last few months this but I finally feel that I am getting somewhere with it.

For me, I found that it helps to have a financial goal in mind. Something that you really want and can only get by saving money and not throwing it away. It feels good to save money. I took my family away to Spain a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't have done that 6 months ago because I'd have gambled the money away.

I'm also saving every month to take them to Florida next summer. So far I have saved over £3000. In previous months I could have spent that in a couple of days.

Stay strong. It's worth it!

Day 50 today! Feeling very proud of myself and life is good. I have had situations in the last couple of weeks which previously would have seen me relapse but this time I held strong. It's amazing how quickly the time goes when you get over the first couple of weeks.

Day 68 today and still going strong. Almost had a little wobble earlier in the week when I received an email from an online casino that I had never signed up to. I thought about joining for a few seconds and then decided to use their live chat to give them a load of abuse for sending me spam emails and make them self exclude me.

It actually felt really good to stay strong and effectively tell them where to shove their slots.

Day 91. I'm not going to lie, I had a slight blip last week and spent a few quid. However, out of the last 93 days, 91 of them have been gamble free. If I return to zero it will be like a get out clause for me to go and gamble again. I don't want to do that.
