Should I help using savings?

Hi Chris - sorry, you’re right, this is a whole new world I’m learning. 

I’m helping him with his immediate living expenses but not his debt. I’ve got his bank accounts, credit reports and give him a very small amount of cash when he needs it.  It gets replenished on production of a receipt.   Seems to be going ok but very early days.   He’s getting a DPP(?) through Step Change.   He has a plan just needs it implementing. Thanks.

That's good, you're helping him in the long term rather than a short term fix.

Keep going and continue doing what you're doing.
