Hi,
I created this account back in 2014 when my debts got so bad I had to come clean. I done good for about 6 months then World Cup 2014 came and I was back into it and have been since. My vice is football betting btw.Â
Â
I was able to put deposit limits on at times and have the odd timeout but it was all just kidding myself. It was still dominating my thoughts and time.Â
Â
Today, without any reason such as a big loss like a lot of people something just hit me that I need to stop to have a better life. I have done gamstop for 5 years. Put the block on my bank and installed gamban.Â
Â
I like these safety nets but the reality is I am truly ready to & want to stop.Â
Â
I urge anyone to truly look deep into your soul and realise how much better your life will be without this awful affliction.Â
Â
Good luck to everyone.Â

I know how you feel dave, I am glad it wasn’t a massive mistake before coming back here. I two did the same it just grinds your soul into nothing when it’s a constant battle in the brain with this addiction.
I am glad you have the barriers in place in a physical sense, it takes a lot of restraint to put mental barriers in place and too know when your going down the wrong path before disaster.
I am feeling a bit low today but in a way that doesn’t mean I want to destroy my life today or my future by gambling it away, I am sure we all have these days of uncertainty and can feel misplaced in away and have the urges with the compulsion.Â
my escapee is poetry at the moment to take my mind off the horrible addiction and I hope you have other more positive things to do to take your mind off of it.
I hope you come back soon too post and share again.
regards

We will definitely have our low days.Â
Just need to try so hard to realise that gambling only has one end goal and it will never ever be good. Once that truly clicks you can then work on yourself as a person to stop the chances of doing it again. Â
Agreed
Affected by gambling?
