I'm a male , 31 and would like to chat to someone in the same position.

Gambled all my adult life but getting higher now. Though I'm open out it, still doesn't help me to stop.

I see it as if I won 50k I would stop for life but that's never going to happen.

Any one fancy chatting let me know

Hi m8,

Like so many of us we chased the illusive dream of winning big and that would be the end of that, couldn't be further away from the truth for me anyway!!!

Do you want to stop?

Del

Hi Del,

I want to stop, I have a little baby girl who is my world but I feel so guilty some time on the money I'm wasting.

My partner know about my problem and is very supportive, but it's me who needs to change.

Want to stop the pressure on my family.

I have had demons in my head and thought about harming myself but as yet I haven't and I want to beat it.

Doesn't help that I'm a keen sportsman and on very break there is a betting ad, really doesn't help.

I need a plan or something!?

Rich

You are lucky to have what you have m8, can you picture your life without your partner and baby? How do you think that will feel? Its great your partner is supportive and that you have been honest about your gambling but if your anything like I was I would stretch the levels of support to breaking point..... its so not worth the agony and hell.

I too am I keen sportsman and played sport to a professional level and I can still play to win... not money though just for the thrill.

We all need to have a plan bud and we all need help and there stacks of it for you. I have been 9months to the day gamble free and if I can do it anyone can, strong will, direction and having a purpose got me there and you can get there as well.

Yeah, think my main issue is that I wanted to get my money back. Unlikely to happen.

Where I should look at what I'm saving up and it builds up slowly, but at least it's building up.

Going to see if I can do it for a month without gambling and take it from there.

Is it best to speak to someone I.e call centre about this? Will it help out more.

Just want to enjoy other things in life and start wasting my money and time in gambling

My advice would be don't focus too much on a number 1 week, 1 month, 1 year the number is immaterial. A day at a time is all you need to get through. My focus isn't a number its a life free from gambling and I can't live anymore than 1 day at a time.

You can call or chat live to advisors on here who are fantastic, there is GA. I contacted here first of all which worked for me.

Life without gambling is so much better than life with gambling the choice is yours my friend and I wish you well on your journey and I''ll be walking side by side with you.

Del 🙂
