I relapsed today because my work colleague was having bets on cheltham horses and I decided £50 would not harm me. Obviously I lost it and I feel dreadful and wish I had not. I know it’s not a lot of money but it’s the principle.

I can completely sympathise, I’ve had a few friends that don’t know about my problem asking if i was placing any bets, luckily horses aren’t my thing, but if they were I could imagine I’d be in the same position.

3 clear days so far, feeling really good about what I’ve achieved so far. Being positive that I can finish a week gamble free

Having a bit of a wobble tonight, boredom has hit. Trying to avert my attention onto something else

Jessi stay strong, you can conquer this. Keep reading through other people posts here and have a chat explaining how you feel and give others encouragement. I feel that this helps me and keeps my mind of my own urges to gamble. I’m now on day 11 gf and feeling positive. I’m not in debt anymore so don’t have to chase wins to clear any debt now. Lots of friends on Facebook posting tips on horses this weekend but wasn’t tempted thankfully. Just battle each day at a time and it will get easier. 2 weeks ago I was 20k in debt and the thought of losing my girlfriend and 3yr old son was breaking my heart. I’m fortunate to get another chance so grabbing it with both hands.

Stay strong......stay debt free 🙂

5 days clear so far, feeling really good. All early days but I know I can beat it if I carry on being positive

Could kick myself!!!! Checked one of my accounts to see the cool off time had lapsed and was able to deposit. Luckily gave myself a £20 limit. Wasted £20 and have now contacted them to self exclude. It’s onlt £20 but so annoyed for giving in to temptation
