I have found myself hitting rock bottom today.Â
I have been gambling online since around 2009 when I tried online poker, and then casino games.Â
I have lost a lot of money. At least 50k in that time maybe more. I now also have a lot of debt. Around 25k.
In the last week alone I lost £2500 or more.Â
I took the steps today of self excluding from every bookmaker and have registered with Gamstop.
This is the most self destructive habit I have ever had and the most addictive. I have really messed up. I can sit for endless hours spinning stupid online slots hoping and praying for the huge win which never comes. It’s the dopamine rush I’m addicted to.Â
The worst part is I have a family and I have gambled money to their detriment.
I have a job but am looking for an extra job to make money to pay back my debt.
Online gambling is horrendously easy. It’s so easy to deposit and spin, you don’t even think it is real money and the time goes so quickly.Â

Hello there thanks for sharing, you mentioned you have Lost around £50 k since 2009, its actually quite small for a period of 16 years . I don't say this to put you down the fact is its irrelevant. I used to brag about the Large sums of money i Lost,all i was, a fool.You are not a fool your addicted. Five pounds is alot of money to lose if you only have a Tenner, nobody is better than anyone else. Its all relevent to the income you have.we are all in the same Boat. Their are lots of Blocks and Gamcare for us to use make sure you use them because they really care about us addicts. All the best

I’m the same in the past week Iv spent about £3000 or more and I’m now in debtÂ
im ADHD so the dopamine hits are something I need and I thought that I was in control of my spending however these past 6 months I have lost every bit of my control 😢Â
I’m now in a couple grand of debtÂ
So glad I took steps today and sighted up to GameStop 🙏🏽
