Hello I’m new to this, trying different avenues to stop the gambling, I’m a massive chaser and now I’m trying everything to ease off

In the right place.

The tools on this site help. The daily check-ins, the milestones and the self reflecting thankful journal do helps. Use them.

My first time using this site and probably haven't discovered all the benefits it brings. I'm only at 21 days but that's a long way forward from before.

Im starting to see it's a huge shift in behaviour, habits and thought process. Those that have been in my life for years.

Not easy, so I wish you all the strength you need.

I’m on day 2 and I have self excluded everywhere online. I’m lucky I don’t feel the urge to go to land based casinos.

Honestly online has been the devil for me. So easily available and accessible , the money you gamble doesn’t even feel like real money and the losses keep piling up and up. I can go in a daze while spinning, time doesn’t exist and I get irritated if I’m interrupted.

Chasing is a real way to massive losses. Done this myself with ridiculous size bets  and of course nothing hits. Back to small bets and sometimes you feel you cannot lose lol, even though that’s not true.

Its feels like online the higher you bet the tighter the slots become or other table games and this is probably true as they run on RTP models. Most games have had their RTP lowered even further the last years and we lose our money quicker.

i used to do weightlifting and more exercise, im trying that again plus I need extra work to cover my debts which will take me at least 2 years to pay off.

its an eye opener to see how much damage I have caused to myself and those around me. I now need to sort out this mess of my own creation.

Mate, all I can say is stop or you may lose everything that is important to you.

i know I’ve lost my self respect, it’s an addiction but we must fight it.

Im trying to turn off all triggers now, no gambling ads, no watching sports( extreme but necessary) can’t bear the gambling ads.

Good luck and have faith in yourself. You are stronger than you may think. We all are.

@oldnews74  thank you bro, for me it’s gone past the financial sense, it’s how it damages me mentally. Less appreciate things in life and just as a person it’s broken me, I’m back in the gym now and also I’m on day 3 of no gambling so fingers crossed.
