finally plucked up the courage to go On Gamstop again for the second time. Â
I’ve been here before - first FOBTs the online and successfully self excluded for about two years.  Things have gradually crept up on me again- bets have got bigger and bigger and I have become numb to the wins and the losses. Mate that amazing u should be proud when i came on here 99% addicts it was all online and little understanding of fobt and arcades is where my issue were online u have gamban etc which works alot better then the sense i have done has it not really fit for purpose sense alot better has i have been refused entry and even pubs have fobt now which makes it extremely difficult as i can relapse very easily fortunately for me i have taken further steps to not even allow myself in that type of situation and here i have 723 days without a bet their have been times where i was close to a relapse has i went to watch a movie which i came early for and next door was lord wilson with the fobt style games i usually would have gone inside without thinking and their was a posibility i would have relapsed has this sort of stuff use to happen in past has i regular visit this website i spent my time reading the forum and i remain gamble free, unfortunately this type of gambling is very hard to get self excluded and knowing i could gamble make it even more difficult to i have accepted i will never be free so i take each day as a new challenge and so far its doing it job
Good luck on your journey - I note however that you say that FOBT losses are increasing and you are becoming numb to them.  I assume you are aware of MOSES, you could not get a more helpful bunch of individuals. Invest 20 minutes, find every town within 30 miles of where you live and ring them - they will get you banned from every bookies in that area.
They even now, as I understand it, offer a service where if you agree they will send out a random ban to bookmakers as well, so that in addition to the ones you actually list, you will never know which other ones are also on the exclude, so you could get thrown out of any bookies you walk into (embarrassing I should imagine)
Once you remove the tempation the urges will still be there but will reduce, especially as you find you actually have money in your account after the first of the month, instead of spending another 30 days wondering how you will make it through.
I used to lose a fortune on those things, now I can't access them - I eat meat instead of pasta, drink expensive coffees and buy myself things I like, and more importantly I dont go to bed at night or wake up in the morning feeling depressed at my own stupidity.
