Hi all I'm attending my first meeting tonight and not sure what to expect please can people put at ease as sh@£ing my pants thanks
Hi Alan
You'll be made to feel very welcome and everyone there will do their best to put you at ease.
Everyone in the room felt the same way as you on day one, remember that.
They may be strangers but they been through exactly the same experiences as you.
If you stick with it, it will be the best move you've made.
I had a severe gambling problem for 12 years and suffered relapse after relapse after relapse. GA is the only thing that's worked, that's broken the mental obsession I had with gambling.
Attend meetings and give it time.
Let me know how you get on.
Hi
Alan
Everyone will no how you feel when you walk through the door as they were once in the same position themselves. We had a young guy return this week after his first meeting last thursday. I asked him how he felt. His reply was that anybody who he had tried to explain his problem his problem to before had sat there shaking there heads in disbelief. When he looked around the room all he could see were people nodding in understanding. A good GA group is a wonderful thing. Give it 90 days of your full commitment i guarantee your life will be better for it
Affected by gambling?
