hi..im john. ive had enough of losing all my hard earned cash and getting myself into deeper debt. i believe money is not the biggest problem for me...its everything else that goes with this terrible addiction. the feelings of desperation and suicide...the feeling you want to die and the general lack of drive in anything. ive gambled for 10 years or more and i have gambled 100'000pounds or thereabouts im sure..foolish but true. i have failed in education aand am in a dead end job despite being quite intelligent. i have a girlfriend and a child and i feel like a pathetic loser...sometimes theyd be better without me i feel. i hide my addiction very very well and i believe very few know the extent of it.

i attended GA for few years on and off and managed to do 1 year off a bet(the best year of my life arguably). ok..i had amasssed large debts but i paid most of it off in that year. the peace i had in my mind was amazing.

i suppose im on here to get strength and hope from you other guys..maybe help. i have again lost all my wages before i got paid and i cant keep hiding all this..i cant go on like this. its time to stop this awful illness and say f*** off

What is that you fear from being honest with this person? Disapointment?, Anger?, Something worse?. All these things are possibilities arnt they really. But what you need to do now is decide what kind of person you are. Are you strong? Are you brave? Are you honest? If you are these things then GET IT DONE. Once this situation is resolved you can begin to look at any other obsticles you may have. You need to get this sorted first. Nobody else can sort this part out but you. Good luck and have faith in humanity and honesty.
